Dr. Benjamin Lickteig is the chief optometrist and owner of Lickteig Family Eyecare. Dr. Lickteig graduated from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Biology and was a four year letterwinner on the Buena Vista baseball team. After graduating from college, Dr. Lickteig moved to Chicago where he worked his way to becoming an optometrist at the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Lickteig's clinical rotations included low vision rehabilitation at the West Haven VA Hospital in West Haven, Connecticut, vision therapy at the Hellerstein & Brenner Vision Center in Englewood, Colorado and the Westside Family Vision Center in San Jose, California where he co-managed LASIK and cataract patients.
In 2010, Dr. Lickteig and his wife, Kelly, moved to Dedham and started Lickteig Family Eyecare. They are extremely excited to be a part of the area and have enjoyed getting to know the people of Dedham and the surrounding area. When Dr. Lickteig is not seeing patients he enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with family and cheering for the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes (sorry Boston fans).
