Incredible experience. Was called in BEFORE my appointment time. I didn't even have time to fill out questionnaire. His assistant asked me typical questions and the doctor came immediately when she was done.
Had skin cancer screening and treatment of affected areas. Altogether, from the time I walked into the office until I was saying goodbye to reception, I don't thing even 30 minutes passed

Born and raised in Ohio, Benjamin Raab, MD, graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan. He was awarded the William Barnstrom Freshman Award for Academic Achievement and was selected as a James B. Angell Scholar.
Dr. Raab received his MD degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. His Dermatology residency specialty training was completed at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He received his Dermatology and Dermasurgery Board Certification.
Dr. Raab is presently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology at Northwestern University Medical School. At the Medical School, he teaches Dermatology and Cosmetic Skin Surgery to medical students, interns, and surgical residents. Professional memberships and fellowships include the American Academy of Dermatology, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Medical Association, Illinois State Medical Society, Chicago Medical Society, Chicago Dermatologic Society, and the American Professional Practice Association.
He is the author or co-author of twelve scientific journal articles, a medical textbook chapter, and has been a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Journal of the American Medical Association. Dr. Raab has served as a guest expert on Oprah, The Today Show, The Phil Donahue Show, and ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC News Programs.

First time seeing this Doctor and it was an awkward experience. I booked a full body skin check and it felt a bit rushed. I also had to ask him to check my breasts (where I have areas of concern). He made it clear he does not examine private areas but would because I asked. Never had a doctor make me feel uncomfortable about examining my chest. Left feeling like I need a second opinion.

Dr. Benjamin Raab was rude, condescending, and unfriendly. He doesn’t care about retaining patients. I had read negatives reviews before coming in and thought I’d still give him a chance… but the negative reviews were correct. He rushes the process like he’s in a hurry, he cuts you off and doesn’t let you talk, and is overall just a super unpleasant experience. He was condescending and didn’t take my thoughts as something to listen to or consider. He criticized the questions I asked, my skin care routine, and even the pimple patch I wore to the clinic! Even the assistant looked uncomfortable listening. I would never recommend him to anyone, this appointment alone ruined my day. He needs to learn how to communicate, listen, and be respectful to others as a start.

Dr. Raab didn't look at my chart (which described my prior history of skin issues), didn't listen to my observations on what had been happening with my skin leading up to the appointment, and didn't ask me if I had any questions. I think he would have simply left if I hadn't said that I wanted to know more about the steroid course he was prescribing me. He kept talking over me and cutting me off as well.

Overall wasn’t great. He was only in the room for 2-3 minutes. Didn’t explain the medication I needed to take. Didn’t explain my condition. Didn’t tell me how to change my skin care routine to accommodate the treatment. The notes for the office visit said he did all of these things but that’s not true.. definitely would not recommend and will try to see someone else for my follow up.

I recently visited Dr. Raab for a second opinion after being disappointed with care I received elsewhere, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience.
From the moment I walked into his office, I felt genuinely heard and respected. Dr. Raab took the time to address all of my concerns in a thorough discussion, something I had not experienced with previous doctors.
His holistic approach to my health was evident when he performed a meticulous procedure to remove a cyst from my skin.
Dr. Raab truly epitomizes what it means to be an excellent physician.
His dedication to patient care is unparalleled and has set a new standard for me. I am incredibly grateful for his expertise and compassion, and I highly recommend Dr. Raab to anyone seeking comprehensive and attentive medical care.

Dr Raab was in the room for maybe three minutes tops. Took the quickest glance at my skin issue and said “I can fix that in a week if you use this ointment” and now over 24 hours later, the prescription has not even been sent to my pharmacy. Office was lovely, front desk and medical assistants were great. Disappointed in the doctor, he consistently talked over me and barely listened. I’ll have to see how my appointment with him goes next week because so far I’m frustrated and disappointed.
