Terrible experience. I asked and preferred a male provider and instead was met with a female attendant, along with Dr. Mandrea. The process was entirely uncomfortable and I would never recommend the practice or doctor.

Dr Tracee Blackburn is such an amazing person. She’s well informed and gives you great advice during the process. I’ve seen her twice and each time I feel welcomed. This was my first visit to Lakeview Dermatology but don’t let the name fool you because they just recently opened a practice in Hyde Park. I met with Dr Mandrea who very nice and knowledgeable about my condition; eczema. The best part was that they have the newest laser treatment so I no longer have to continue traveling downtown with no parking or north suburbs to get to appointments. I’m thankful for Lakeview coming to this convenient location on the southside and bringing the helpful staff too!

The office visit wasn’t bad, but this office has poor communication back with its patients. Two different times I left voicemails that I’d hadn’t heard back after 3 business days, so I had to recall. It happened with the main voicemail and the medical assistant voicemail. There were also issues with my prescription to Walgreens and it took multiple days to get fixed. Health communication and office communication are a key part of the full medical visit and this part is truly lacking.

I was a new patient to this office and I had a pleasant experience from start to finish. The front desk was very nice and had me fill out all necessary paperwork right away for new patients. I did not see the Dr. but I saw his assistant Dr. Jang Johnson who was amazing! Just from what I shared with her assistant she knew right away what to do as far as treatment for my skin! I felt very comfortable with her and very hopeful for a better future for my skin. Her office also gave me plenty of samples and I return in 6 weeks for a follow up!
