After his graduation from NYU, Dr. Potter received his medical degree at the State University of New York (SUNY), Buffalo. He completed an internship at New Rochelle Hospital followed by a three year residency in Dermatology at Skin and Cancer Hospital, Temple University Health Sciences Center in Philadelphia. After opening his practice, he had an academic appointment for many years as Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology at the SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine.
Dr. Potter has a special interest and expertise in Psoriasis Phototherapy having trained under the direction of a world recognized specialist in Photo Biology. Patients visit Dr. Potter for a variety of reasons, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin biopsies, skin cancer, warts, moles, growths, fungal infections, anti-aging topical skin care and more. Visits typically last from 15 minutes to 45 minutes. He is eager to help each patient receive the personal attention they deserve.

Dr. Potter is the most experienced dermatologists I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. He’s kind and very caring. He does not have assistants in his office so you do spend a lot of time with him which is a plus ! He helped me clear my skin as much as he could until I could no longer afford to see him (I have non participating insurance not his fault) I was always very comfortable being examined and he explains everything In detail. His office is well kept and clean. 5/5 truly recommend!
