About Dr. Francis DiSpaltro

Dr. Dispaltro graduated from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara Facultad de Medicina in Guadalajara. He completed his internship in General Surgery at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Immunology and Photopheresis at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He then completed his residency in Dermatology at Saint Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. Dr. Dispaltro joined the United States Army Medical Corps, where he served as a Captain and was Chief of the clinic at The Kimbrough Army Hospital in Maryland. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and has presented at national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Dispaltro offers his expertise in both medical and state-of-the-art cosmetic procedures. His creative spirit and attention to detail make him particularly suited to the cosmetic aspect of dermatology. He is experienced in many areas of medical and cosmetic dermatology and provides his patients with a wide range of treatments available in our offices.

The staff was extremely unprofessional, they were listening to their own music and having inappropriate side conversations while I was patiently waiting for assistance in front of them. The doctor came in for two minutes, looked at my back and told me to see a general surgeon and walked out. Extremely dissatisfied, more importantly the staff was rude and unprofessional.

The office staff was excellent but the doctor barely looked at me for a minute before telling me to schedule an appointment at another location for a procedure. Luckily the desk staff intervened and got me a followup at the same location where a different doctor actually paid attention and recommended much less invasive treatment. I will be returning to this practice but will ensure not to see Dr Dispaltro again.

I felt unsafe and mistreated by this provider. He did not know a lot of things I mentioned to him and I also felt discriminated by a condition I have. I will never come back to this office or recommend anyone to see this doctor.

This was my second time visiting Dr. DiSpaltro’s office. He remembered me from my previous visit that had taken place six months prior. The doctor had a great bedside manner. He was respectful and supportive. My skin sues were resolved after my first visit, so I went into the doctor’s office a second time for a follow up. I even traveled from NJ for my second visit as I was impressed with Dr. DiSpaltro after my first visit In NY. I highly recommend him!

I went there with concerns that I had for a while and it was a total was of my time. the doctor was dismissive and did not even do any real test on me about my concerns. just sent a prescription to my pharmacy and was in a rush when I asked him questions about the prescriptions and my concerns.

The office was not aware of my appointment, this was the fault of Zoc Doc, not their office.
My time with Dr. DiSpaltro felt far too brief and unresolved. He failed to address all of the issues I relayed to the nurses.

Dr. DiSpaltro was informative. But it seems that no matter which Dermatologist I see, the atmosphere or tone of the appointment/evaluation is still the same: very swift, no actual evaluation, the Physician just looks at a spot you’re complaining about or acne, then prescribed a medication. The time with the physician was about 5 mins. Mixed feelings about my experience.

All business, not a “chatty” experience. No small talk (which I didn’t mind). Came across as very competent, which frankly, was all I was concerned about. I don’t even know why I bothered. Did not address my issues that bothered me and simply brushed me off when I persisted, gave me a couple of prescriptions without being thorough. While I waited for an hour and thirty minutes, he saw me for less than 5 minutes.

Dr. DiSpaltro is really cool. He's incredibly knowledgeable and also really puts you at ease. I like his vibe and how attentive he is. In addition the office is nice and clean and the entire office staff seems incredibly friendly :)

My experience may not speak for all, but it was unpleasant. The waiting room was filled with patients, and he saw me for a matter of 10 minutes, and even then, I felt like he was trying to see me for less. I would not have minded the lack of time if he was efficient. But, during those 10 minutes, he was curt in answering my questions and when asking about certain dryspots on my fingers or arms, he had one foot out the door and did not even take a look at the affected areas. He just flippantly said, "just apply what i prescribed you for your dry scalp on any dry spots." And then he turned around and made sure to look me in both eyes to say, "Make a followup appointment in 1 month, ok?" Well I'm glad I did not go see him in a month because my dry spots flared up into nasty dyshidrosis eczema, and the dry scalp treatment did nothing for my eczema (obviously). I feel like he was trying to efficiently squeeze in as many patients as possible and I just didn't feel well cared for/and rushed like I was a burdensome patient.
