About Dr. Bhadra Shah
Dr. Bhadra Shah intends to provide optimal patient care with compassion and concern for patient's health. She has treated generations of families and would love to treat any new patients in the same way. Dr. Shah and her staff respects and cares for your time and comfort. We can do our best only if patients keep their appointment and complete their forms ahead of time. Too many last minutes cancellation requires overbooking which results in long wait some time. We also have acupuncturist and alternative therapy provider (who offers help for many ailments) available in my office.

Patient reviews for Dr. Bhadra Shah
Wait time was long but once you see her you understand why. She takes her time with and is very knowledgable and helpful.
Dr shah seems somewhat competent, but her office staff is a nightmare, and her bedside manner is awful. I had to go back for multiple visits bc her office staff did not understand how to contact the insurance. Her bedside manner is very bad- she is very cold when delivering news and doesn’t understand how to interact with patients. Her office is also very cramped and dirty, with outdated medical equipment.
Dr. Shah is a trustworthy, patient provider. If she’s ever running late with her appointments, I guarantee it’s because she’s giving each patient the time they deserve. She listens carefully, has a very gentle and reassuring bedside manner, and has assisted me through some very difficult procedures. Unlike so many doctors these days, she doesn’t rush you through anything. I respect that she prioritizes doing things the right way.
Very friendly, thorough and experienced!
Dr. Shah was a kind person, but also very outdated. I have had surgery in the past that will impact my fertility, and when I asked her about them, she said it was a conversation I could have when I am married. For a female-identifying doctor, in NYC, this was a huge surprise. Not to mention, my marital status doesn't impact my biology whatsoever. Additionally, the problem I went in to see her for was dismissed very quickly and her office lacks things like wipes, etc, to remove the jelly. I won't be going back to see her.
She is a very nice and knowledgeable obgyn.she patiently explained all my queries.did a thorough examination and was very informative.they do need to improve a bit on their office work.dats all
She was extremely professional and friendly. This was not my first visit and nothing has changed about her. She’s very knowledgeable, caring and also has great receptionists.
Both the receptionist and Dr. Shah were very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Dr. Shah had excellent bedside manner and I felt extremely comfortable with her. She took her time to go through my first time paperwork and ensure all of my questions were answered. Highly recommend.
She is the most amazing Ob/gyn ever ;p
Dr. Shah was very sweet and the actual appointment was quick. I got there 15 minutes early since I was a new patient and figured there would be paperwork. However, I was seen an hour later than my appointment time. So the waiting time wasn’t ideal but the actual visit was fast and efficient. She answered my questions and addressed my concerns.
She takes her time and doesn't rush out. I felt that she listened to my issues for a problem I have had for 3 years now. Very experienced doctor.
yes she is very nice.loving .caring.I really like her.definitely highly recommended
I am a new patient, was seen right away after filling out 15-20 min or so health questions via tablet and paper. Doctor Shah was very calm and patient, will definitely recommend.
She was very kind - I’d definitely recommend. I’m always stressed at the doctor and she immediately put me at ease. Great experience.
Dr. Bhadra is not for everyone. Not the type of doctor you go to just get a quick fix. She looks at you entirely. Don’t waste your time if you are always on a rush. That type of negative energy is not needed. She looks at you entirely from top to bottom. A real healer.
I enjoyed my appointment with Dr. Shah. She answered all of my concerns and questions and she was very personable. I didn’t feel rushed at all. She actually cares for her patients and you can tell she knows what she’s talking about. She will be seeing me again.
Very thorough and experienced doctor. Highly recommended.....
Long wait and lots of paperwork but Dr. Shah is great and so sweet!
She’s a great doctor. She made me feel extremely comfortable. It’s not easy to find a GYN Doctor that makes you feel at ease.
Dr. Shah was very straightforward and made me feel very comfortable. She had a professional yet gentle manner and I will continue to see her annually or as needed.
Dr. Shah is amazing. She makes you feel so comfortable. I had an IUD removal and Pap smear and would highly recommend her. Lovely and calming bedside manner.
I've gone here twice and both times have waited 2 hours to see the doctor. Even when I called ahead before my follow up appointment to see if I should come later, I was assured that there would be no long wait again and that I could come in on time. Don't waste your time here, there are far more efficient places in New York
Dr. Shah is so gentle and calming; I feel very comfortable with her. I have re-booked her multiple times for annual checkups and to have an IUD inserted. The front desk ladies are also incredibly friendly and efficient, and patient when dealing with my follow-up questions about billing.
Love Dr Shah, but the wait is so long!
So sweet, attentive, and comforting. My new regular OBGYN.
She is really friendly and makes you feel very well taken care of.
A good follow up visit.
Extremely thorough and informative. Great doctor
Dr. Shah is very calming, detial-oriented and sweet but the that cannot make up for the wait time that was over an hour. I will however continue to visit this office once a year for an annual checkup because I do feel comfortable once in the patient exam room.
I feel incredibly comfortable with Dr. Shah, but to wait over an hour for an appointment is totally unacceptable.
She is great and very friendly.
My first time visiting Dr. Shah, she was very friendly, easy to talk to, she made me feel very comfortable which is extremely important to me. Even the receptionist was very friendly. Dr. Shah was very informative and I could tell she just wanted to provide me with all my options before I made any decisions. I would 100% recommend her to anyone.
Really kind, explained things thoroughly and made sure to guide me in post appt treatment and follow up.
Long wait, but doctor was nice.
Super knowledgeable and made me feel extremely comfortable!
very sweet physician. she address all my concerns and made sure i left feeling relieved. wait time was acceptable. definitely recommend
I love her
Dr.Bhadra was really nice and answered all my questions. The wait wasn’t long either.
The visit was fine. I called in earlier that day to confirm insurance, as this was my first visit. The receptionist told me that I should come closer to 4:15, rather than my scheduled appointment time, 3:45. I appreciated the realistic timing. I still had to wait about 35-40 minutes to be seen. Besides the wait, Dr. Shah asked lots of questions to be sure she understood my medical history. She also took time to answer some of my questions. The patient portal was set up during my visit to have access to blood work done.
Felt the need to give her unsolicited opinion on depression and anxiety issues that she has no business doing. Every time I’ve been (I’ve been multiple) she tries to recommend I get acupuncture and give me a coupon.... very dismissive of concerns and unprofessional.
She is knowledgeable, thorough and so sweet!
I would highly recommend Dr. Shah to someone. She helped me with not only what I came in for but informed me about other medical issues that I should be aware of. Very considerate, knowledgeable, and professional.
I was very impressed. She answered my question and reassured me about my concerns. I felt very comfortable with her.
I've gotten the sense that Dr. Shah does not value her patient's time. I've spent more time in the waiting area than in the doctor's office.
There are a few thing that I felt unpleasant about my visit to Dr. Bhadra Shah. The visit itself was OK, since it was basically for annual OBGYN / Pap Smear Test. However, I received a bill from the doctor even though the test was covered by my insurance. I called the office and it turns out she charged me for discussing the options of birth control. I still feel very dismayed about this since she was the one who asked and started discussion about this topic and the information she gave was pretty basic that I know already. I tried to communicate with her about how I think about this but it was very difficult and she kept insisting I am the one who is responsible for the charge since she doesn't know if the birth control discussion would be covered or not. However, the point I feel really frustrated is she "charged" me for discussing such basic issues which seems very unprofessional to me. A doctor should be the one that I can trust wholeheartedly and discuss my health without feeling deceived. In this case of my visit, the doctor was not the one I was looking for. Moreover, the office sent me the test results almost a month after my visit, which made me very anxious. I kept calling the office about the results but I could not receive it until two weeks later. Overall, I felt very stressed, victimized and deceived by the doctor's authority and the system of the office. I cannot recommend this doctor for any reason.
Dr. Shah was very thorough and addressed all my needs. I'm glad to have her as part of my medical team.
