Dr. Walia had a great bedside manner -- he was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. He examined my injury thoroughly, and explained the probable cause, treatment, and expectations for recovery very well, leaving in the clause that if it didn't recover as expected, I should come back. It did recover, by the way, but it's nice to have a backup plan ahead of time.

Bhupinder Walia, MD, is the Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Medical Associates and Pacific Sleep Medicine. The primary focus of his practice is general adult and adolescent medicine as well as diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea.
He completed his training at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Tulsa, OK. Dr. Walia completed his residency in 2011 and worked as a Hospitalist in Washington for 2 years prior to starting Pacific Medical Associates and Pacific Sleep Medicine. He has gained invaluable experience practicing outpatient and inpatient internal medicine and brings with him a knowledge base allowing for comprehensive care of his patients. Dr. Walia was selected as a "Top Doctor" by the International Association of Internists for year 2014.
Dr. Walia was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Walia has traveled the world extensively and has gained fluency in several languages (both written and spoken) including: English, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, French, Spanish, and German. He is able to read and write in Arabic also.

The reason why people may be waiting longer than they would prefer for Dr. Walia, is because he takes his time to fully analyze and try to solve your symptoms, not just rush you out the door because he's on a time schedule. I greatly appreciated everything he had to say and how he listened to me. He respected me and i respected him. Great Doctor! From now on he's my PCP, and I never had one that before but his performance with me was exactly what i was looking for in a doctor. This may sound like the typical review, and trust me i read all of them before scheduling my appointment, but I hope you can trust my opinion because you will not regret selecting him.

Dr. Walia is a very humane and attentive individual. He asked a lot of questions during my visit and seemed interested in hearing what I had to say. I did not feel rushed during my appointment and he gave me a good deal of feedback. I would highly recommend him as your primary physician.

Dr. Walia is great. He always make sure I understand everything I need to know, and that all my questions are answered. My health is one of my biggest priorities, and Dr. Walia definitely respects that.
The wait times are not instant, but they haven't been terrible. I don't mind the wait, because Dr. Walia takes his time with me, and makes sure that every interaction is worth the time.

I was very surprised how quick dr. Walia understood my multiple health issues, and created a treatment plan! I was seeing many other doctors in the past without any success.
Dr. Walia has great bedside manners, he is taking care of his patients in reality, not just on paper.
I definitely recommend dr. Walia to a friend, or to anybody who is seeking a knowledgeable friendly family doctor!

Dr. Bhupinder Walia is an excellent doctor. He is humble, honest, a good listener, patient and genuinely cares for the patient's well being. My wife's infected foot wasn't healed after multiple visits to to the Immediate Clinic and many departments of UW Medicine. UW especially was a bad experience. Their systems arent integrated well so we went round and round between departments and doctors we worked with werent empathetic and accurate with diagnosis. Infact, they could not diagnose her infection for 3 months and in return asked her to learn to deal with her pain better. When we went to Dr. Walia, he patiently heard our previous experiences and suggested immediate measures to improve her foot. He is a big believer in treating the problem than giving pain killers and temporary 'band-aid' medicine. Over the weekend, he got my wife admitted to the nearby Overlake Hospital and put her on IV painkillers and anti-biotics. His diagnosis was correct and the foot which wasnt being healed for almost 5 months finally started healing fast. He even visited to check on us on Sunday and made sure the right tests by various experts were conducted on her in the hospital. He followed up with us on more appointments and my wife's foot is on a way to speedy recovery now. He was also nice enough to provide me med samples to treat a chronic allergy problem I have had since many years. And those worked beautifully too. Thanks,

Overall, the office staff were courteous and professional. However, they did mess up the billing and needed to charge me an extra $40, ringing me on the phone after I was about 10 minutes away from the office.

I had an awesome experience with Dr. Walia. He was very warm and caring. I felt all my issues were addressed and my questions answered. He was very thorough and I will definitely recommend this doctor to friends. Easily the best doctor I've seen since moving to Washington.

WOW! He's amazing!! Finally, an MD who LISTENS and is not watching the clock! Im very satisfied. Will be switching my primary care permanently to this office for sure. I had to wait about 15 minutes to be seen, but I think that's because he takes a lot of time with each patient. I saw his wife a few weeks ago and she was also excellent. These guys make a really good team!

I typically don't do reviews, but Dr. Walia is worth it. He and his team are really great! He creates a really comfortable environment and is really easy to talk to. He does a great job of explaining what's going on and treatment options. I also really appreciate that he takes a proactive approach to treatment; he takes your concerns seriously. He puts the "caring for people's health" back into "healthcare," something that too frequently seems to get lost nowadays.
