Dr. Sinha finished his urology residency training at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis June, 1985 and was Board Certified in 1988, and re-certified in February 2009. He is affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital as an active attending and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Urology at UMDNJ.
Dr. Sinha believes that total health involves the understanding of each patient’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs. He spends a lot of time with the patient counseling and discussing all alternative treatments. He believes in early diagnosis and preventive medicine. He regularly attends national urology meetings to keep current on the diagnosis and treatment of genitourinary diseases. Dr. Sinha organizes several CME meetings in Central New Jersey. He was invited to present papers in Berlin, Germany in September 2008. He was invited to Chicago in April, 2009 to serve as Course Director for Office Based Surgery at the American Urological Association (AUA) meetings, in San Francisco in May 2010, and in Washington, D.C. in May 2011.
Dr. Sinha was the first Urologist in Central New Jersey to start cryosurgery for prostate cancer in 2004 in affiliation with the Urology Department at Columbia University, New York. Dr. Sinha was also the first in the northeast USA to start GreenLight laser surgery for enlarged prostate and obstruction in office settings under IV sedation since 2005. He has done more than 1000 laser surgeries for BPH and Obstruction in the office setting without any major complications. Dr. Sinha has started teaching and training other urologists on how to set up and perform laser surgery in office settings, since 2008.

My appointment was rescheduled to a later time and when i got there i had to wait for almost one hour before i was called in to see the doctor. The doctor seems knowledgeable and will work with me to figure out what is wrong and try to take care of it. The staff was cordial.
