Dr. Brian Kim is a transplant hepatologist specializing in the treatment of patients with hepatitis C, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. He graduated with a bachelor of science in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology from Yale University. He received his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at Columbia University New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He then completed gastroenterology fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Maryland and transplant hepatology fellowship training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Kim's clinical research interests include liver transplantation, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, acute liver failure and complications of portal hypertension. He has authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals on various topics in liver disease and liver transplantation.
