About Dr. Bruce Albert
Bruce M. Albert, M.D., the founder of Elite Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with more than 20 years of clinical experience. A community-centered orthopaedist who has practiced in Irvine, California as a solo practitioner for over 15 years, Dr. Albert is steadfastly committed to offering his patients exceptional care and restoring their quality of life. With a focus on implementing the latest in proven effective technology, tools and methodologies, Dr. Albert has achieved a well-respected and highly regarded reputation within the local medical community as well as among his patients. Dr. Albert focuses his practice predominantly on a wide range of sports injuries, and particularly on injuries and disorders involving the knee and shoulder in the recreational athlete. He has previously worked closely with the athletic departments of Fullerton High School and Irvine Valley College. Dr. Albert has always subscribed to a philosophy whereby the treatment plan he recommends to patients is exactly the same one he would recommend to a family member. He prides himself on being an extremely ethical physician who exhausts all non-operative measures before resorting to surgery. When surgery is, however, the only option available to achieve the desired result, Dr. Albert has had the experience and technical proficiency that has led to patients reporting impressive and striking improvements after treatment. Dr. Albert’s surgical expertise relates primarily to knee and shoulder arthroscopy (having performed more than 6000 of these procedures during his career), bur he also treats other orthopedic conditions, including fractures and arthritis.

Patient reviews for Dr. Bruce Albert
They are quick to get you in and out. And Dr. Albert never lets you leave without making sure he has addressed any concerns you have.
He looks more professional and diagnosed my problem precisely.
Dr. Albert was very nice and thorough. It was great to be in and out as he didn't keep me waiting once I was in a room.
Doctor Albert was very professional. He treated my problem right away , it was quick and painless. He is also a very nice person, I highly recommend him!!
dr albert always great
He was great very thorough and informative
Dr. Albert was so amazing.
I've been going to Bruce for over 20 years. He's done a great job!
We were seen right away. 5 min wait max.
Dr Albert gave my son a very thorough examination and we left the office with solid information to help improve his condition.
While I wasn't thrilled about the Newport Beach location sharing an office with Urgent Care, the staff was very friendly and doctor was very nice and took the time to listen to what was going on.
Great guy and great doctor. Broke my radius in a cycling accident over the weekend and needed to be on an airplane for a business trip just 3 days away. Great care listened to my needs and came up wth a game plan that would allow me travel without further injury to my are,.
The doctor was great, very informative, friendly and attentive. Diagnosed me correctly and explained my options ect. for an ACL replacement and meniscectomy. Unfortunately I couldn't go with him because of the office staff. I could barely get them to call me back to make an appt. for my MRI. and a few times i got someone on the phone and she didn't know how to make appt.s , maybe my interaction with them was during a bad time or someone quit, i don't know. Also I waited nearly 2 hours when I went and it seemed like everyone else had. The guy next to me literally fell asleep. If you are running that behind clearly there are scheduling issues and one should call patients to let them know.
Very frank and honest assessment of the condition of my injured knee. He felt surgery was unnecessary at the moment. He suggested a cortisone injection to reduce inflammation and that I revisit and reassess the situation in 6 months. Any suggestion of a knee replacement (mentioned by a previous GP) was overkill. When I informed him that my visit was exploratory and that I would be seeing another orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion, he gave me a disc with the x-rays he had just taken, so that the other surgeon would not have to repeat the procedure. Very professional and generous.
He listened intently, was thorough, honest and provided recommendations for things I could do to help my situation myself. He gave me confidence that I did not have a serious issue. This was the first time I met with Dr. Albert and would see him again.
The staff and Dr Albert were all very professional and friendly. I was able to get a same day appointment which was great. I would definitely recommend Dr. Albert.
Honest and the definition of integrity. Most doctors would have recommended an MRI when it wasn't necessary. Dr Albert was professional, honest and extremely knowledgeable. I'd recommend him without hesitation
He is a top notch professional. I read of his superior background and experience with knee surgery, that is why i wanted his opinion of my situation. He laid it all out for me in very easy to understand terms. His advice made sense. I was happy he was not afraid to give his opinion instead of giving me a bunch of options that would leave me confused as to what to do, ( as another doctor before him did ) Thank you Dr Bruce!
i found him and his staff to be professional, courteous and knowledgeable. he listened and started with the least invasive treatment...which is why i came. he has that reputation. they worked very efficiently, leaving me to wonder why the 1.25 hour wait?? good experience, but pack a lunch!
He is really friendly and professional
He was very knowledgable and professional. Would recommend.
Dr. Albert reassured me and provided me with the diagnosis that I am on my way to healing without surgery. This comforted me and I left feeling so much better. Thank you Dr. Albert!
The doctor and the staff are great
Wonderful staff and great professional interaction with Dr. Albert.
It seemed to go well, he was very informative I will see him again in 3 wks To see if the treatment was accurate.
He is a very good clinician, very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions.
Great experience... going for physical therapy asap
I like Dr. Albert. He's very professional and doesn't offer you over-medicated solutions. However the wait in the office is way too long. We got to the office at 10:15 and was seen for about 5 minutes and left the office at 11:45. The waiting area was all packed with not much room to move around. A lot of the patients were complaining about the long wait time.
I would see him again.
Dr.Albert was very knowledgeable in the field and was able to offer tailored information on how I could improve and recover from my injury. His explanations of both treatments and my diagnosis were concise and easy to understand. Following my appointment, I knew exactly what had happened to my leg and the steps I could take to get better. Although the wait was around 45 minutes, Dr. Albert is truly an knowledgeable and approachable doctor. He was able to answer all of my questions.
Great doctor. This was my second visit for a different reason.
Great doc answered all questions... I only marks I would probably recommend him because I cant highly recommend a doctors I've only once for a consultation of everything with a consultation went good they need an Yes No option on here to say yes I would recommend for a consultation th at's all I was able to assess recommending him on.
Great! Straight forward and to the point. He treated my sons broken ankle and my son really liked him. I would highly recommend him.
Easy to get an appointment. Had a good visit...didn't wait long and was able to get the care requested.
Waiting time did really bother me and was over one and a half hout with no Xrays.
He's always a true professional!
He and his office were very efficient and professional.
He seemed distracted and unavailable. I was not satisfied with my treatment.
Very personable and very nice staff. Everything was great except for the 54 minute wait after my scheduled appointment time to see the doctor.
Very good bedside manner. Took time to talk to you.
The staff were friendly and professional. The only problem was that they didn't know about my appointment, even though I received a confirmation email. They were very nice about it and fit me in anyway, which was probably why I had to wait so long.
I'm new to Irvine, under a new health plan, and this was my first time at this particular clinic, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, Dr. Albert was extremely professional, thorough and very pleasant. I had all of my doubts resolved after the X-Ray was performed, and he made me feel great about my elbow injury and suggested what I may do from them on. His staff is very good, too. I totally recommend Dr. Albert for your orthopedic issues!
I was very impressed with the doctor's efficient but thorough evaluation. He was quick, but gave my daughter plenty of time to answer questions and explain her pain. He took x-rays and did a complete evaluation but we were out of the office in less than half an hour, which we appreciated. I thought his treatment plan was right on target--not too aggressive but also not overreacting to the problem. He made us both feel very comfortable and gave us lots of good information. A really good experience today, and I'm so glad we chose Dr. Albert. Already recommended him to my friend!
The wait time would have been right away had I filled out the new patient forms before my appointment.
Kind, gentle, friendly, knowlegable. A great experience. Will definitely return. I called back with a concern and was immediately connected to his nurse who answered my questions and put my mind at ease.
Very fond of Dr. Albert, but won't use ZocDoc again. We waited 45 minutes before the receptionist let us know that they never knew we had an appointment.
