A native Texan, Carolyn Kim, M.D., returns to the Lone Star State to help patients of DermOne get what she firmly believes everyone should have -- the opportunity to have healthy skin. Dr. Kim attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in the Plan II Honors Program, graduating with honors and a concentration in art history. She earned her degree in medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where she graduated magna cum laude and in the top five percent of her class. Dr. Kim interned at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, serving as a clinical fellow in medicine at Harvard Medical School. She completed a residency in dermatology at the NYU School of Medicine and began her career as a board-certified dermatologist in New York City, seeing patients and performing surgery and cosmetic procedures.
Now back in her home state, Dr. Kim relishes helping patients understand the best way to care for and protect their skin, with the goal of helping her patients look and feel their very best. When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Kim enjoys experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, discovering interesting places around the world, listening to classical music, and hitting the links to work on her golf game.
