Dr. Carrie Nelson became a board certified family physician in 1992, following her Family Medicine Residency at West Suburban Hospital. She completed her medical degree at Rush Medical College in 1989. She currently serves as President Elect for the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Nelson has worked in the Chicago area for more than 20 years. She enjoys collaborating with her patients in order to assist them with making informed healthcare decisions. Dr. Nelson has enjoyed many facets of medicine, including teaching medical students and residents in addition to serving in positions of leadership for improving our healthcare system.
Dr. Nelson has three boys, and in her leisure time enjoys running, reading, and listening to music.
