Dr. Catherine Hohn graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1996 and completed residency in Family Medicine at Mercy Hospital Saint Louis (formerly St. John’s Mercy Medical Center) in 1999. After practicing Family Medicine for 18 years, Dr. Hohn has shifted the focus of her practice to include a more holistic approach toward patient care. She is currently completing studies at The Institute for Functional Medicine. As a Functional Medicine physician, Dr. Hohn partners with patients to treat the underlying causes of disease and promotes wellness by addressing each individual patient’s biology, genetics and lifestyle factors that influence health. Dr. Hohn practices proactive, predictive, personalized medicine and encourages patients to take an active role in their own healthcare.

Dr. Hohn is very intelligent and seems like a great doctor, though a large time of my visit revolved around her talking about the importance of a balanced lifestyle, diet, and the holistic approach to modern medicine.
I am entirely on board with that, but that was not the reason that I came into the office. Dr. Hohn was also a little pushy/aggressive in stressing the importance of holistic health. Again, I agree—but not why I came. I can see how others can be put off by her; I would say to a large extent I was, too. I won't be returning to her office.

Dr.Hohn is very friendly and engaging! Definitely felt comfortable talking to her. She does focus a lot (too much in my opinion) on BMI so if that's not your thing, just consider that in your doc choosing.
