Dr. César Molina obtained a Bachelors of Science from Boston College, where he graduated with honors as a Scholar of the College. He obtained his medical degree from Yale University. With a research fellowship from Yale, Dr. Molina wrote his M.D. thesis at the Joslin Clinic at Harvard University Medical School. Dr. Molina completed his medical, clinical pharmacology and cardiology training at Stanford University Medical Center. At Stanford he was a member of the medical school faculty and a Robert Wood Johnson Scholar. While at Stanford Dr. Molina did basic and clinical research in the laboratory of Dr. Ferid Murad, winner of the Nobel Prize of Medicine. In 1990 Dr. Molina left the faculty at Stanford and established his cardiology practice at El Camino Hospital. He is the senior founding member of Heart and Vascular Associates.
Dr. Molina is founder and Medical Director of the South Asian Heart Center at El Camino Hospital. The South Asian Heart Center is the first nonprofit center in the world devoted to the prevention of coronary artery disease in people of South Asian descent. He is cofounder of the Genomic Medicine Institute at El Camino Hospital.
Dr. Molina frequently appears in the media discussing the benefits of diet, exercise and stress reduction in the treatment and prevention of coronary heart disease. Most recently, he traveled to China, where he lectured on preventive cardiology as a guest of the Chinese government. His research papers have been published in such journals as the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and the American Journal of Physiology.

This was my first appt. I had researched a cardiologist online and thought his qualifications met my expectations. I was very nervous making and keeping this appointment and began to relax after only a few moments. His explanations were thorough and I received information that was enlightening.
