Chad A. Carlsson, OD, FAAO graduated with Honors from the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) in Chicago, IL. Following completion of his doctorate degree, he elected to further his education by completing a Pediatric and Binocular Vision Disorders residency program. During his residency, Dr. Carlsson worked with children and adults in the management of various forms of visual dysfunctions including strabismus, amblyopia, and other accommodative disorders. He also worked in advanced care, treating and managing ocular pathologies such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and uveitis. Through this residency he also furthered his education in emergency rotations, anterior segment disease, and specialty contact lens fittings.
Since graduation, Dr. Carlsson has worked for Nationwide Vision Centers in Arizona becoming further specialized in pediatric and family eye care. During his employment, his knowledge and patient care solidified his experience and provided him with pediatric specialty recognition.

We found Dr. Carlsson's office when we found out that my middle daughter needed some vision/eye therapy to address an eye tracking issue. His office and staff are great and even though it was a long drive we definitely feel it's worth it. Very pleased with the quality of service and friendliness of everyone in the office. Highly recommended.

Dr. Carlsson and his staff are out of this world. The staff greets you when you walk in and they have an area for kids to play. The doctor spent an hour with me and explained so many things. I highly recommend Dr. Carlsson and his staff. You can't go wrong.
