I visited Dr. Cole for a second opinion on a PRK surgery that I had a month before. He was patient, kind, thorough and took the time to explain everything in a way that I could understand and digest. By far one of the best doctors I have encountered, I wish he had done the surgery himself but I have switched all my records to him for the future. He impressed me THAT much. Cant say enough nice things about him.

Dr. Charles Cole specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, cataract and refractive errors. He is especially knowledgeable in laser and surgical procedures for the treatment of open angle glaucoma, narrow angle glaucoma, secondary glaucoma and cataracts.
Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology with over ten years of experience, Dr. Cole provides patients with state-of-the-art eye care at his practice in New York, where he has seen patients since 2003. In addition to his practice duties, Dr. Cole also serves as Director of the Glaucoma Service at New York Hospital Queens and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Cole graduated with his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, followed by an internship at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He then completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Mt. Sinai/NYU Medical Center, and further specialized his training through a Glaucoma fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College.
Actively involved in the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Cole is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the New York State Ophthalmologic Society and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He also holds attending privileges at New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York Hospital Queens and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Additionally, Dr. Cole currently plays a major role in the surgical training of the next generation of surgeons at Cornell.

Although his office is steps away from where I work, I have decided to not come here. He may be smart but is extremely condescending. The girl at the front desk is snooty and I waited 1.5 hours in the lobby to be seen for 10 minutes. I even called ahead to avoid twirling my thumb in the waiting room, was told they were on time and I shouldn’t wait long.

Dr. Cole was very professional and knowledgable. I waited a little bit but let be realistic; when have you ever gone to a see a doctor and didnt wait? I received a very thorough exan and was very satisfied with everything. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Heard everything I had to say, thouroughly examined my eyes, explained what was going on in detail, answered all of my questions and did not rush the appointment. He's the best ophthalmologist I've ever been to. I'm happy to have found a great Dr. for my eyes and I highly recommend him.
