About Dr. Sandra Belmont
Dr. Belmont is the Director of the Resident Refractive Surgical Education/Laser Vision Correction Program and a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at New York University School of Medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. From 1997 to 2007, she served as Director of the Cornea Service and Founding Director of the Laser Vision Correction Center at Weill Medical College of Cornell University–New York Presbyterian Hospital. She also holds operating privileges at two prestigious eye surgery hospitals in the city: New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. As a renowned Manhattan LASIK and cataracts surgeon, she leads a Corneal Surgery service and, during the academic year, mentors a fellow who trains and observes with her.

Worst experience ever! The provider had no record of my appointment, despite multiple confirmations from Zocdoc, including one stating that my insurance was verified and accepted. Even worse, I specifically filtered for providers who “treat children,” only to find out upon arrival that this provider does not. A whole afternoon wasted due to a poorly designed app. As a computer science engineer, I can confidently say such issues should never exist. Find the right people to fix these problems and stop wasting your clients’ time and money!

Very friendly staff; excellent and well trained caring MD and ancillary staff. Unfortunately, ZocDoc info was poorly communicated and my name did not appear on the patient list even though I received a supposed confirmation from zocdoc. Luckily, they were very nice and agreed to see me.

Dr. Belmont and her staff are honestly the best. I am patient since 2007 and I moved out of New York in 2013 but still come back to her. Today I needed a small procedure and they managed to make it happen today. I highly recommend her and her team!

Sandra Belmont and her entire team- from the staff at the desk to associate doctors- are the kindest and most professional people I have ever met. Dr. Belmont and her associates are extremely thorough and take the time to really understand their patient's needs. Getting to the office was easy and the Dr's were friendly. They were effecient and knew what they were doing. Dr. Chen remembered me & the nurses were very nice. John was knowledgeable and very helpful w/ scheduling appts.
