Charles Geneslaw, MD, FAAP, is a lifelong New Jersey resident who has practiced general pediatrics for almost four decades, most of that time as a resident of Ocean County, New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Columbia University and his Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He completed both his internship and fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Geneslaw strongly encourages all of his families to fully immunize their children according to the American Academy of Pediatrics' guidelines; however, he stays open-minded and tries to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate the parents' comfort level. He is now old enough that a good part of his practice is made up of the children of his now fully grown, former patients, which is a source of great joy and satisfaction for him. He believes it is wonderful to be an ongoing part of the generational advance of his families. In his practice style, he keeps in mind the Hippocratic Oath phrase ?first do no harm,? so he is very cautious to prescribe medicines only as medical literature indicates is safe and effective-always the minimum amount necessary to treat the child's problem, no less and no more. He invites new families to schedule a ?meet the doc? appointment to come in, chat, and become acquainted.
