About Dr. Tatyana Shkolnaya

Dr. Shkolnaya graduated from O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University in Kyiv, Ukraine. She worked as pediatric hematologist at a major Pediatric Research Facility in Kyiv before coming to United States. After completing pediatric residency at St. Vincent's Hospital/NYU she came to NJ to join Pediatric Group in Toms River where she worked for a year. She worked as inpatient/outpatient pediatric provider at Kimball Medical Center (now Monmouth Medical Center south) for 3 years before starting family. In 2002 she founded her own practice, Candlewood Pediatrics, working as a solo practitioner with affiliations to Jersey Shore and Monmouth Medical Centers, where she was doing resident teaching rounds at newborn nursery. She is also affiliated with CentraState Medical Center as a part of Atlantic Health System. As of 2025 Candlewood Pediatrics is affiliated with Atlantic Health as a part of larger physician owned practice, Primary Care Partners. Dr. Shkolnaya is Board certified in Pediatrics and a Member of American Academy of Pediatrics. She is maintaining her solo practice with love for working with children and their families.
