Dr. Cheryl Ebmeier began her optometric career in her father's private practice as a teenager. She worked in the finishing lab making glasses and performing patient testing since before the age of 13. Dr. Cheryl attended the University of Illinois earning a bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1996. In August of 1996 she moved to Florida to be with her sister and begin Optometry school at Nova Southeastern University. Cheryl earned honors in both of her externships for her competency, knowledge, and patient management skills. She received her Doctorate of Optometry in May of 2000.
Dr Cheryl has extensive experience in managing pre and post-operative refractive surgery patients. She is skilled in determining candidacy and setting realistic expectations of patients desiring laser eye surgery. Dr Cheryl is also proficient in difficult contact lens fittings and spectacle prescriptions.
Dr Cheryl Ebmeier is board certified by the Florida Department of Regulations and is licensed to diagnose and treat eye disease with ocular pharmaceuticals. She is a current member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and has served as a Trustee of the Broward County Optometric Association.
