During my first visit I waited for OVER 2 hours BEFORE even going to see Dr. Modi, then another 30 minutes before he actually came in. I am extremely patient regarding these types of things but wife had to go to work. I thought 3 hours from my appointment time would be plenty of time ...Seriously? I’ve never waited that long to see a doctor in my entire life. Dr. Modi himself was very kind but I was completely put off by the staff telling me to “just wait” when I said I had to go to work in 20 minutes. Dr. Modi came in less than fifteen minutes before I had to leave, which felt like a slap in the face for having waited nearly 3 hours. Had to cancel an endoscopy twice because of the recent snow storms and told them I would call back to make an appointment myself because I travel 5 out of 7 days a week for work. Its difficult for me to make appointments and I remember informing the office of this because during my first visit it took about 15 minutes to schedule my original endoscopy because I told them “I won’t be here this day, this day, this day, etc. “. I get a voicemail a few days before saying “your appointment is at this time, show up, etc. “. But I didn’t make this appointment? So I call the surgery center and ask if my insurance even covers the entire procedure..they said wouldn’t know fully until the actual procedure is done.. so I said I need to call my insurance and verify before getting the endoscopy done and possibly getting charged. I also wanted anesthesia/sedation but never heard from anyone about this either. I cancel with the surgery center itself, no problem, lovely staff. Call Dr. Modi’s office to cancel (keep in mind I didn’t actually make this appointment OR confirm it) and Justin answers sounding very irritable and had a bit of an attitude asking who I spoke to and why I couldn’t commit to the appointment, and hung up without any goodbye, etc. How on earth can you be upset when you scheduled MY appointment for me and I also did not confirm? I understand that it’s stressful and inconvenient to have to change schedules and appointments etc. I honestly do. But it’s also stressful to have them made for you and then have to go through this whole process. I haven’t had a great experience with the staff during both occasions and I think I’ll be finding a new doctor.

Dr. Chintan is not your typical doctor that sees you for 5 minutes and let’s you go. He wants to know everything about you to find a way to help you. First visit went great and stoked that he is able to finally help unlike my other gastroenterologist.

I had a 4PM appointment and was seen a little past 530. The doctor when he wAlked in did explain he had an emergency in the hospital which is why he was backed up! So it was understandable. I really thought Dr Modi was veryyyy knowledgeable! He’s not out to send you to get 100 tests or make money off you. I’m a pharma rep and I can tell you it’s veryyyy hard to find a genuine doctor that’s not trying to charge up your insurance. Trust me. He was very nice and understood what I needed and the best way to handle it and said give it a shot and we’ll follow back up. I appreciated how he sat down and actually talked with me and not at me. It was my first time here and I will def be recommending him to friends looking for a good GI in the Middlesex area!!

Took into consideration my sister's other health issues and did not rush into a surgery with anesthesia because it could be risky. Conservative approach first which I appreciated.

This was my first visit; Dr. Modi was superb. He was patient, soft-spoken, informed, and he listened. I have a great deal of anxiety about doctors, and Dr. Modi put me at ease and made me feel in excellent hands. He answered my questions thoroughly. High marks must also be given to his administrative assistant Justin (I may have gotten her name wrong, but she was patient and good-natured and also explained the process to me with thoroughness and a positive vibe.
