Dr. Christine Brown attended Rollins College, where she earned a B.A. degree in pre-medical studies and graduated with honors in chemistry. She completed her medical training at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class, earning her election into the Alpha Omega Honorary Medical Society. Dr. Brown was also the recipient of the Merck Manual Award for Outstanding Medical Studies and the American Women’s Association Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation in medical studies.
After completing an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Dr. Brown completed a three-year Dermatology residency program there, serving one year as chief resident. She then completed a one-year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The wait is my only complaint and I understand that things will run behind, but it is difficult when I take off from work to go to the apt and show up early and still wait until 1115 to be called back when my apt was at 1030. Granted I was out the door by 1127. It can still be frustrating just waiting when I had pre filled out all of my forms to ensure a swift apt.
I am a long time patient and while her office is not near my home or work, I go because she is that good
I was very pleased with the care of Dr. Brown and her staff. She was very thorough and detailed. She came up with a treatment plan that I could work with. I would definitely recommend her.
I was very impressed with how thoroughly she questioned me as a first time patient. I appreciate having another doctor's input on my condition and I think my PCP was right to suggest Dr. Brown.
My visit was good. Dr. Brown's assistant is professional and attentive. She was new to the practice at the time of my visit but seemed to be working well with everyone. My time with Dr. Brown was very short, but that's probably because there really wasn't much to do on me. There are some posters on the wall about varicose veins, which made me ask some questions about that problem and procedures for correction. She took the time to get pricing. I didn't get the impression that they do a lot of work on varicose veins, so not sure I'd go there for that sort of issue. More research would be necessary. Overall I was satisfied and will go back.
Dr. Brown is professional and always does great work. I love her and would recommend her highly to anyone!
I waited at least an hour to an hour and a half in the lobby and an additional 20 minutes in the actual patient room to be seen (where I was told to wait with the door cracked open so Dr. Brown would know I was ready for her to stop by, with my gown on for other patients to see me as they walked by the door - very uncomfortable). It was clear that Dr. Brown had overbooked the amount of patients and was stopping by tons of patients super quickly down the line before I was seen. Upon finally being graced with her presence (and at my first appointment with her - a time one would expect her to attempt to foster some sort of relationship and make the patient feel more comfortable), she did not spend any time getting to know me or my concerns at all and rushed through the entire impersonal examination within a total of approximately five minutes, after I had waited nearly two hours to be seen. During this rapid, stressful encounter, she never even directly spoke to me about what she was seeing. Rather, she would name terms foreign to an average patient to her assistant to write down without ever telling me her thoughts on my skin and the areas for which I had been concerned might be cancerous. The only thing I recall her actually saying to me regarding my skin was "you would be a good candidate for mole mapping. She'll go over the pricing with you (referring to her assistant)." Then, she left the room. After being hauled out toward the check-out area (throughout the process I felt like cattle being hauled around), the receptionist asked if I planned to purchase mole mapping. I told her that I had no idea what it was or how it would benefit me or the cost. She could not tell me anything about the actual process or its purpose, but she told me that it was several hundred dollars and it would not be covered by insurance. Without any idea what it was, I elected not to have it done. I was then asked for my copay. At this time I realized I was part of the hundreds of people being pushed through Dr. Brown's office to be seen for a mere five minutes after waiting hours and never getting any real patient-doctor interaction so that numerous copays could be collected at the end of the day. If this is not an accurate representation of how business is done here, then it is at least how I was made to feel during my examination and visit in general. At no time did I feel comfortable or cared for, and I did not feel like Dr. Brown had my best interest at heart during my appointment.
She was nice she listen to my problems with my acne. She's very helpful
I expected a friendlier bedside manner and more thorough explanation of treatment options, including explaining to me what she was telling the assistant. I do not know dermatological terminology. Would have been good to have a list of what she mentioned. I had to ask how to follow up on the treatment done today and was told the assistant would tell me but she did not. They did not have one of the products ordered, so I would have to come back(inconvenient) or order on line(and pay shipping). Assistant was friendly. I will return for my follow up visit, but probably would not want any cosmetic work done because of bedside manner. I am confident that Dr. Brown is competent, but before I trust my face to someone, I would want a warmer exchange and a greater sense of trust that she was doing what was best for me and not a general recommendation for "someone my age".
This is the only dermatologist I go to. Highly recommended!

She seems to be a great MD I like the fact that she was able to look at the bump on my nose and tell what it is without any test or lab done, and she came up with a treatment plan. Something that had never been done by the last treating MD.So I pray that it work
Dr.Brown is Great!!! She takes pride in what she does and always make sure you are knowledgeable about your situation.
Though I expect a long wait at doctors offices, I would prefer that it be followed by an understanding and empathetic clinician, and prepared and supportive staff. This office provided anything but that. I scheduled an appointment to have several spots burned off of my skin, but was also told by the doctor that "my face was definitely a problem" and I would need to use her own skin care line to treat my acne. I informed her that I am in doctoral school and burdened by student loans so anything that was over drug store prices would be out of my budget. She reassured me saying it was "cheap" and I really needed it. The rest of the appointment the doctor and staff were impersonal and cold. After leaving the check up room a staff member approached me to ask if I was pregnant or had any health issues (something I am quite positive should be checked before hand). Upon checkout I was told that my total for her "cheap" skin care line would be almost $150 dollars on top of my treatment costs. When I asked the receptionist to remove it from my bill she literally rolled her eyes at me and sighed with exasperation. If I had been treated with respect I may have even purchased her line, but after the treatment I received I will take my business elsewhere.
I am hispanic and don't know if that fact had to do with the treat I received. The doctor barely spoke to me during the visit she always gave indications and instructions to the nurse. The nurse never came back to me to tell me exactly what was wrong with me. Yes, I didn't receive a diagnostic just some shampoo and creams to use but no explanation whatsoever. I was very dissappointed and I saw her twice hoping that the second time would be better but I was wrong. I don't like to leave negative feedback but unfortunately that was my experience with Dr Brown
Very unhappy. I had to wait more than an hour even though filled out my medical papers ahead of time. The doctor had poor bad bed side manner and was not concerned for me as a patient. She simply had her own agenda- which was trying yo sell me her products she created. Every employee was unhappy and unprofessional. I was so displeased I told even my coworkers about my visit. Do not recommend.

When I walked in Dr. Brown's Staff was VERY NICE, they helped me get all my paperwork setup pretty quick. Once I filled out everything they called me back in less than 5 mins, which is a BIG PLUS! Dr.Brown was VERY knowledgable about my condition, and it's crazy because ive been to a lot of doctors and most of the doctors i've been to have not been able to treat my condition. I will definitely be going back to Dr. Brown, and recommending to everybody. THUMBS Up From ME!!!

My wife and I have visited previous dermatologists in the dallas /Irving area and most of them are not really sensitive to patient feelings/concerns to what Dr. Brown actually is. We appreciate the way Dr. Brown handles her conversation/listening ,the fact She did not diagnose my wife by looking at Her right away and tell Her she would have to live with that ,not going away. actually wife has been sent for a skin test and follow up from there. what You don't need is negative comments/hopes . Thank You for that.
I was disappointed that I had to wait 1 hour before being called back into the exam room. Then I waited an additional few minutes before the Dr. came.
Dr. Brown was very courteous and knowledgable. This was my first visit, and I was very pleased. She answered all my questions, and gave me several options to consider. Her staff was very pleasant as well.
She wasn't personable. She was just trying to hurry up and finish the appt. Acted like she knew the problem/issues before I even spoke. Wasn't interested in my questions/answers.
I believe Dr. Brown values finances over patients. She spent very little time asking me about my skin conditions and provided very little guidance on future care. Her full body exam was done in such a way that one would think I was a leper. She never closely examined possible skin cancer spots, always keeping at least an arms length between me and her. This treatment was vastly different than 2 other dermatologists with whom I worked who were much more detailed in their exam. When visiting for the first for a skin exam, Dr. Brown actually sent in her assistant (not a dermatologist) to do the body scan, another indication that she really does not care for patients unless there is a strong financial consideration. It was only when I insisted that Dr. Brown conduct the exam that she came into the room. Dr. Brown seems cold and calculated. Her many diplomas and recognitions so prominently displayed on the walls throughout the office are a farce.......that is if you believe the first order of medical care is a genuine concern for patients and their welfare. I will never return.
Dr. Brown and her staff were very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. All were very clear and patient in answering questions & explaining procedures. I enjoyed Dr. Brown's manner and felt fully confident in her expertise and extensive knowledge.

Waited a long time for a 5 minute interaction with Dr. Brown. She was efficient, but almost too much so. I'll go back to get done what I need but probably won't continue to see her.

She seemed to have the most up-to-date technology and training for dermatological procedures, which I liked. The physical exam was extremely short (felt it could have been more detailed as I have numerous moles). What surprised me most the lack of consent forms for minor surgical procedures conducted in her office. I did appreciate the directness of treatment and being able to get stuff done fast, but some might interpret this as impersonal and a poor bedside manner.
Very professional. I've gone to Dr. Brown for several years and have always been well satisfied with her diagnoses and treatments. In addition, I know other patients of hers who have had excellent results with removal of skin cancers and follow up treatment of the affected areas. I would highly recommend her.

Very competent and professional staff and a pleasure to visit with them. Dr. Brown is first rate.They even turned off the tv with the continuous loop commercial at the request of a patient. You don't often get that courtesy.
The office was very nice and clean. Dr Brown was very professional and knew exactly what my issues where and addressed them.
Everyone was nice, except Sarah the office manager and of course the doctor, she was very stuck up and kind of rude. Hillary her PA was excellent!!!

Besides the long wait, it was very professional. Her assistant, Hillary, who performed the scan and procedure was very nice, professional, knowledgeable, helpful and courteous.
She was good, but I felt like she could've spent more time explaining and answering questions. It's almost like she's to busy to spend any length of time.
Location was absolutely terrible. Really questionable side of town, construction and roads blocked off (would have been nice to know this). Took an extra 25 minutes and an office call to figure out how to detour all the roadblocks. I was not informed upfront there was a cash charge for parking (I had no cash on me). Did not find this out till I was leaving and was not able to exit garage ( had to get change from office). Dr. Was ok, but was aloof and not very personable. The office seemed to be more of a retail shop for skincare products ( with the Dr.'s own labels) and expensive elective cosmetic procedures as opposed to serious dermicallogical care. I won't be returning to this dr. Also time of appt. through Zoc Doc was 1 hour earlier than what the Dr.'s office had me down for (very odd).
I think she is very professional, courteous, listened to my concerns and gave me a great visit and a treatment plan. I plan to return to her in the future

My observation is Dr. Brown has few equals in her line of work. I just find her bedside manner somewhat cool. But she knows her stuff and she will get my recommendation anytime.

Dr. Brown has been my doctor for several years and has always been thorough and professional. Yesterday's appt. was a "routine" annual with two skin areas frozen and two areas biopsied. I received the biospy results this morning and have already scheduled follow up.
Dr. Brown is professional, to the point, and does not waste your time. She gets the job done in a very satisfactory manner.

I live quite a ways from Dr. Brown's office and have tries a couple of other dermatologists closer to home for my husband and me. After those experiences we have decided that the travel and traffic are worth the difference! Dr. Brown always leaves us with the feeling that she really cares about our welfare and her expertise has proven itself!!

Dr. Brown seems to have a lot of experience and knowledge in her field; I would recommend her to a friend. She's professional but not extremely friendly. However saying that I would much rather see her than an inexperience doctor. Her nurses were amazing and very friendly! However the receptionist was anything but pleasant and considering she's the first impression on the doctor’s practice I would have someone a little more friendly and extraverted to check in patients.
Very thorough and exactly what I believe a Dr. should do for their patients. it's not about a quick look, dignosis, treatment and get you out the door.

Dr. Brown is very professional and very helpful. I had minor issues with acne and she knew instantly what was right for my skin. I have also had 2 botox treatments and appreciate the fact that she does the injections herself, not an assistant. I would highly recommend her.

I was exceptionally pleased with my visit with Dr. Brown. She was both professional and compassionate putting me at ease while demonstrating both knowledge and interest in my questions during my annual exam. She provided me helpful information to assist me in making further decisions about my skin care. This was only my second experience with Dr. Brown and had not seen her in 2-1/2 years. I definitely plan to see her on a regular basis in the future! I have sun-damaged skin and am grateful to have found someone I really trust.

Dr Brown runs a good practice but still takes the time to communicate with her patients. Excellent Doctor and my favorite of all my doctors.
I felt rushed and didn't even get introduced to doctor. I assumed the person who quickly examined me was indeed the doctor and not until on further questioning of different procedures realize I was taking to Dr. Brown. My first visit so was expecting a little more attention and explanation, but guess we're all big girls and can figure these things out on our own with brochures and internet.
She seemed a bit rushed. After the procedure is done I will see how I feel about it overall. But just for the consultation I thought she could have given me more feedback on the whole basal cell seriousness and what exactly she was gong to do and wasn't aware that I would be coming back the following day but I will look at the procedure that she mentioned I could find on her website-which I was not aware of. Overall just seemed rushed and literally saw her maybe 5 minutes.
