She practices primary care, functional and integrative medicine by combining modern western diagnosis, lab testing, acupuncture, nutrition, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and other modalities to treat various types of chronic conditions and health issues. Dr. Surrey's primary care patients receive the added value of Dr. Surrey's background in integrative medicine and benefit from her advice on disease prevention, nutrition and lifestyle modification and her knowledge in the recent development in natural medicine.
Dr. Surrey has implemented IV Therapy and a Neurologic Nutrition Program at Tao that have proven to be extremely beneficial to our patients who just need a boost in their health and general wellness as well as those suffering from complex neurologic conditions. Incorporating acupuncture, nutrition and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, Dr. Surrey is very effective in helping her patients with chronic disease management, preventative care and aging gracefully.
Dr. Surrey offers a Concierge Primary Care Program (link to the program). For a yearly membership, patients enjoy priority access to her expertise, and are provided with a personalized health and wellness treatment plan.
Dr. Surrey received her degree as a Doctor of Osteopathy and her internship and residency in Internal Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine. She finished a two year fellowship in Geriatric Medicine afterwards. She completed her acupuncture education at Harvard University and her training at Functional Medicine University and is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner.
