In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
My role as a physician is to provide the best, evidence-based care, educate patients about their health, and inspire them to take steps to improve their health and well-being. I work with patients to help them understand how their body, mind, and spirit are all connected and that the treatment plans we develop need to embrace all these facets.
What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
The best part of being a physician is helping patients understand how to improve their health and well-being. I enjoy meeting patients from diverse backgrounds and learning about their lives and challenges.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy museums and especially love viewing art exhibits.

Overall, while Dr. Lazarus did include some useful suggestions in her conversation with me, she was not the most understanding.
At times, she allowed her personal beliefs/biases to influence how she approached my concerns and how characterized my health, to the point of being unprofessional and/or inaccurate. Without going into too much detail, I will just say that she jumped to unfounded conclusions which cannot be made simply through a telehealth consult.

Dr Lazarus was overall helpful but she recorded a few inaccuracies in my current symptoms and medical history and there was no way to contact her so she could correct them. One was particularly significant and it's a bit concerning having errors added into my medical record.

Dr. Lazarus had a pleasant manner and I connected with her right away. She asked all the right questions even though I’ve never meet her before. Thoughtful. She probed respectfully around my condition and offered helpful advice. She spoke as if I were her family member she was helping. I gave her 5 stars.
My only regret is she told me that my condition requires regular in patient visit’s for monitoring and unfortunately we are in different areas. I would have LOVED to have her as my primary care provider!

WORST doctor visit experience ever!
My video call with Dr. Lazarus was for my annual check-up. At the end of the call, I simply asked if she's able to prescribe the pills I get from my other doc, in the future, if necessary. She asked for my pills' and doctor's name and said no problem.
I was promised to get a summary of my blood test results and recommendations when my results were uploaded on the app, but after two weeks of nothing, I had to follow up twice so I could finally get an answer.
I received a bill for the free annual visit & I was charged a copay only because I had mentioned a topic not listed under the annual checkup guidelines!
She wrote my blood test (vitamin D to be specific) with some special code that's not covered by my insurance (which is quite a good one) and I now owe hundreds for my blood tests.
Every time I inquired about these issues on the app, a new person would chat with me who had no background of my case and I had to explain everything all over again.

Dr. Lazarus was great, but felt that I needed to see a specialist urgently. Apparently she only works through Circle Med, which is an app. That experience has been horrible. I wait on slow response times, they screwed up the order, my address is incorrect, my name was miss-spelled on an lab order. At the end of the day I have tried two practices, both times the order never went through. They just say that they sent it, Oh Well. I don't know what to do, but am going to have to find another doctor that actually has a real practice with people who can pick up the phone and can help me find the care I need.
