She completed her fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at Emory Eye Center after her residency in Ophthalmology, at the Emory University School of Medicine. During her clinical training, Dr. Perez completed a variety of research projects on keratoconus and advanced corneal imaging technology, and has presented her work every year at the annual meeting of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, resulting in National recognition and multiple publications. Dr. Perez performs all laser LASIK as well as other refractive surgery procedures. She offers state of the art cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens implantation, and the latest advances in medical and surgical management of corneal disease including small incision partial thickness corneal transplants. Dr. Perez moved to the United States in 2007 from Venezuela, where she completed her Medical School training at Universidad Central de Venezuela (Central University of Venezuela). She is an insightful and thorough ophthalmologist. Her kindness permeates her visits, always setting her patients at ease. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and is well on her way to fluently speaking Italian and French.
