His anxiety treatments utilize both cognitive and supportive strategies, including systematic desensitization, relaxation training, and imagery rehearsal. Pain management treatments include basic stress management, cognitive restructuring, focused distraction techniques, as well as medication compliance and addiction monitoring.
Dr. Hartney received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Marquette University in 1985 and has more than 31 years of varied experience in clinical psychology. His personal and professional accomplishments include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Psychology. He has held clinical and leadership positions such as Director of Psychological and Social Services at Curative Rehabilitation Center, Chief Psychologist at Midwest Clinical Services, and Psychology Fellow at Curative Rehabilitation Center.
Dr. Hartney was honored as a Fulbright Scholar through Marquette University and has authored several publications on a variety of behavioral health topics.
