I thought the place was very nice, clean, modern. Great staff. I NEVER leave reviews, but feel compelled to leave one here. I've been seeing many doctors for my dry eyes but NONE were as thorough in diagnosing the issue as this office. Really excellent experience. I hope the second visit is as good!

Verified patient
Courteous, friendly, explicit and the fact that for every treatment I got I was told prior to being given the treatment with all tenderness. The best medical treatment I've ever received in my life.

Dr. Notis was very professional. I would recommend seeing him. I thought customer service at the front desk improve. The staff was nice however I received no acknowledgment when I walked into the office despite staff of 3 up front. Staff was nice once I got their attention. A good experience overall.
I chose Dr. Notis because he had great reviews and an appointment that I could schedule as soon as possible for my sudden eye condition (formation of a cyst). My experience with Dr. Notis was great, he listened to my concerns, shared his experience with other patients with a similar cyst, and we made a plan to move forward with treatment. Everything else about the experience was HORRIBLE. I would give Dr. Notis 5 stars because that’s what Dr. Notis deserves, but the staff experience left a lot to be desired. It was at the Springfield location. I made the appointment for Dr. Notis, but as a new patient, I was seen by the medical assistant (I don’t want her first on here as I do not know how much of her actions were due to her lack of training on the institution’s part), then was told that Dr. Maryams was coming in to “check my pressure,” and then I would be seen by Dr. Notis. The medical assistant left me in an agitated state because she kept asking me the same medical history questions that were on the form I had filled out that was right in front of her. I believe English was not her first language, so I tried to be patient and speak slow, but seriously she was touching the paper in front of her. The preferred customer service technique is to read the form back to the patient as one is entering it to make sure it was filled out properly. She also took 5 minutes to try to take a picture of my cyst before we went into the exam room before she re-took my history and. I didn’t fault her because I felt this was her training. While getting the story of why I was there, she said to me, “so your cyst is gone, now?” I wanted to say “If it were gone, I would not be here for this appointment and two minutes ago we would not have spent 5 minutes trying to take a picture of it.” She also asked if I were there for glasses and/or contacts. I was already nervous at that point, especially since no one seemed to realize I was there for a medical reason and not an eye exam, even though my insurance was billed and I had paid the copay at the front desk. I thought it was odd that Dr. Maryams was coming in to see me, but I figured that for a new patient, they have to do their due diligence and Dr. Notis’s time is better spent not doing routine exam things that an optometrist can do. If you are told you will be seeing Dr. Maryams, immediately request another optometrist, do not let her anywhere near you. She also asked if I was getting an eye exam “So you have your own eye doctor and you’re here just for the cyst.” It was ridiculous and I was ready to walk out. I just kept repeating to myself that I was there to see Dr. Notis and he is an expert and I have to get through these people to do that. Dr. Maryams then wrote me a prescription for a stronger steroid than I had been on from my regular optician. I asked her some questions about removal of the cyst based on my research of treatment on the internet (medical journals). She didn’t seem that familiar with the practice and said to ask Dr. Notis as he would be the one handling that. I am so thankful for Dr. Notis, he told me not to take the steroid because if it hadn’t done anything in the past week, it wouldn’t do anything now. Why was Dr. Maryams doing anything beyond the pressure test? Why did she write me a prescription? Again, my appointment was not with her. I am so thankful that Dr. Notis didn’t let me walk out with that prescription. He also listened to me and answered all of my questions and knew I was not there for a routine eye exam.
Everyone in the office was very helpful and nice. I was very comfortable there. I like going there better than my previous eye doctor's office.

I highly recommend Dr. Notis. His staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I was seen right away and both Dr. Notis and Dr. Patel spent time answering my questions and examining my eyes. I never felt like I was being rushed through my appointment. Excellent experience.

I have been a patient for many years and have recommended Dr Notis to a few of my friends. His new office in Springfield is outstanding.
The appt took more than one hour. A Dr. Instilled eye drops that dilate your pupils doesn't tell u anything about blurred vision for more than an hour even after I got the eye drops to reverse it. I had to drive home and had to drive with blurred vision.Unsafe for patients esp. The elderly. But, the med techs and Dr. Notis was very.professional.
He is an excellent doctor
