I have been practicing ophthalmology for 41 years. I am the fifth generation “eye doctor” in my family, beginning with my great-great-grandfather, who traveled in a horse-drawn cart selling Silverstein eye potions and spectacles. My grandfather was an optometrist, and my father an accomplished ophthalmologist. I was privileged to be born into this legacy of dedicated eye physicians. Throughout my career, I have practiced all facets of general medicine and ophthalmology. I received an exceptional, continuous education that prepared me to provide the highest standard of ophthalmic care. Just as my education was seamless, my career has remained free of legal or professional interruptions. While I have great passion for ophthalmology, I also find joy in boating, flying, my two beautiful Great Danes, and maintaining my health—body and mind—as essential parts of a fulfilling life.
