Dr. Canchola graduated from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio School of Medicine and went on to complete his medical training at the John Peter Smith Family Practice Residency Program in Ft. Worth, Texas. Prior to joining TienaHealth, he worked at other clinics in the area, including the Las Colinas location of Diabetes America.
With a focus on disease prevention and preventive care, Dr. Canchola believes patient education is paramount. He emphasizes diet, exercise, goal setting and lifestyle management for all his patients. He recognizes the importance of developing an open and friendly relationship and chooses to talk with patients "person-to-person", rather than doctor-to-patient.
