About Dr. Ramisa Rahman
Dr. Ramisa Rahman is a board-certified physician in Family Medicine and specializes in holistic health. She grew up in Plano, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson, Texas. She completed medical school at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in San Antonio, Texas and completed her residency at Medical City Arlington, where she was selected as Chief Resident of her program. She is excited to be back home in the Dallas area!
Dr. Rahman provides comprehensive healthcare with an individualized approach to patients of all ages. Her passion is to help patients maintain their optimal health through a holistic approach with evidence-based practices. From preventive care, chronic conditions, and overall wellness, she believes in empowering patients with knowledge about their health. From the osteopathic perspective of mind, body, and spirit being interconnected, she treats the person as a whole. She collaboratively designs personalized treatment plans for each of her patients. Outside of medicine, Dr. Rahman enjoys yoga, photography, traveling, art, and watching basketball.
She does not accept insurance at Purposeful Healing Direct Primary Care; however, she can help you use your insurance if you need to get labs, imaging, referrals, or pick up any prescriptions. Dr. Rahman can also help you find affordable options if you do not have health insurance.
Self-pay Costs:
- In-person appointments: $149 for single visit
- Virtual telehealth visits: $149 for initial visit, $125 for follow-ups
- Monthly membership with unlimited acute visits with doctor: $250 per month, cancel anytime with 30 day notice

This was my first time using zocdoc or any televisit. I can honestly say I was in shock finding a healthcare provider that listened and advocated for my well being as an entire person. Dr. Rahman was a great listener and knew exactly what I was going through and explained her treatment plan throughly and with care, and still left more room to check in if there’s anything else going on.

My first experience with a primary care doctor and it was extremely pleasant. The office is so comfortable and calming I legitimately thought I was in the wrong place when I first walked in. I won’t even try to look for another doctor!

Didn't even show up. Horrible experience. They had an appointment at the same time as mine and I was completely ghosted. I relied on this appointment for my inhaler prescription in between work and now I can't get it today. This is unacceptable. If I make an appointment with a provider, I expect them to show up.

Mrs. Rahman was extremely kind and attentive. Especially about getting to the bottom of what the issue I was having was. Great atmosphere in the doctors office, which she makes an effort to make you feel as comfortable as possible by making her office not feel like a doctors office.

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Ramisa Rahman. She takes time to listen, explains things clearly, and makes you feel like a partner in your own care. I never felt rushed, and she asked thoughtful questions to get a full picture of my health history and concerns.
What stood out most was her calm, respectful bedside manner and how thorough she was during the visit. The office staff was friendly, and check-in was quick and smooth. I also appreciate that she offers telehealth and speaks multiple languages, which makes her accessible to a broader community.
If you’re looking for a primary care doctor who is attentive, kind, and focused on preventive care, I’d definitely recommend Dr. Rahman.

Dr. Rahman is by far the best experience I’ve had with any physician I’ve seen in the metroplex. She takes the time to listen to your concerns, is knowledgeable about what she recommends and informs, and has a very warm personality (and so does her staff). Moreover, her office covers many things like cosmetic injections, skin care, physical therapy, phlebotomy, covid tests, regular check-ups, etc. Highly recommended.

AMAZING! I came in to have an accomodation for a standing desk, since I went from having a physical job to an office job. And I used to make around 10,000 daily steps daily at my previous job, so I was starting to feel depressed for gaining weight. Not only did she sign my forms, but after asking me with follow up questions. I felt comfortable to tell her that my bowel movements were preventing me from taking my breaks at the company's scheduled time. And I bring this up because my company gives us bonuses based on schedule adherence. I am now able to have additional breaks if I need to, and can take them at whatever time I need without hurting my bonus. <3
