More about Dr. Daniel Greene, MD
Dr. Greene was born in New York City and grew up in South Florida. After high school, he returned to NYC where he attended Columbia University, graduating with a BA in Urban Studies. He subsequently was a public school teacher at the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan prior to embarking on a career in medicine. He earned his MD at the Chicago Medical School and then headed back east to Massachusetts for his post-graduate training. He completed his internship in pediatrics at University of Massachusetts Medical School, residency in General Psychiatry at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital. Dr. Greene was selected as chief resident and chief fellow in his respective training programs and has been the recipient of numerous teaching awards. He is Board certified in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent psychiatry. Prior to relocating to North Carolina and joining Developing Minds, he served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and worked as a staff psychiatrist on an adolescent inpatient unit at Cambridge Health Alliance. In addition, he is a recently published author in the Harvard Review of Psychiatry. He lives in Durham with his wife and 2 kids.

I always feel very comfortable coming in and expressing my feelings. I feel heard and understood, which is very reassuring. Dr. Greene always ends by asking if there's anything on my mind which we haven't talked about - which I really appreciate, especially if time has gotten away from me. I feel like there's a clear direction in bettering myself, and the atmosphere is supportive and understanding in aiding that betterment.

Very pleasant receptionist; comfortable waiting room, prompt service. Dr. Greene was very personable and easy to talk to with excellent bedside manner. He listened attentively and took a complete patient history. He offers a combination of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment options. As a physician myself, I would recommend him without reservation to any prospective patients.
