Getting to know Lauren Grantham

My name is Lauren Grantham and I work as a LCMHC in North Carolina. Born and raised in New York and after High School I joined the United States Army and served over 10 years. I graduated from Capella University a few years after leaving the military and since graduating I have been working as a therapist in my community and online. While working as a therapist, I also enjoy traveling, working out and spending time with family. It is important to have a balance in life and learn to live life to the fullest. I became a therapist based on my life's experiences and I wanted to share with others the impact therapy, and healing can have on their lives if they are willing to do the individual work. I believe that we are not problems to be fixed but simply seeds that need to be cultivated in the right environment. I use a variety of tools during sessions such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and creating an environment where we work together and build a therapeutic relationship while working on goals and growth through healing. I really enjoy the holistic approach and focusing on the total person. I have had success working with couples and individual therapy with adults ages 18 and above developing effective coping skills, and managing emotions, stress and developing effective tools to foster healthy interaction with oneself and others as well, and other tools to help individuals heal and grow.
