Daniel A. Klapper, M.D. has been in the practice of Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Surgery on the Upper West Side since 1988. He has been an attending Ophthalmologist and a supervising attending Physician of the Glaucoma Clinic at Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital. He is an attending physician at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center- Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Holy Name Hospital. He joined his father Raphael M. Klapper, M.D. who began the practice in 1960. Throughout this time this practice is known for its availability for its patients as well as its high level diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. Dr. Klapper has available in office state of the art diagnostic and therapeutic instruments including: a number of automated visual field testing machines (perimeters) Optic Nerve topography scanners, Pachymetry, digital photography Argon and Yag Ophthalmic lasers. In addition, Dr. Klapper completed a fellowship in laser refractive surgery in 1996.
