Dr. Nightingale and his entire staff were friendly, patient and very helpful. I was very concerned about my condition and the doctor made me feel so much better. I have a new ophthalmologist!
I had my first appointment with Dr. Nightingale today. I really liked him he was extremely thorough and took time to explain everything. The staff was very nice and friendly. I'm happy to be a new patient.
He is an excellent professional and kind person who cares a lot about his patients. I am very happy that I could find him.
Very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the cause of my eye infection. Dr. Nightingale is the doctor you can trust to take care of your eye problem in a very professional way & yet makes u feel well cared for.
I found Dr. Nightingale very competent, friendly and professional. I highly recommend him.
I started seeing Dr Nightingale when I decided to get corrective eye surgery. I wasn't a candidate for Lasik, so instead I got PRK. Long story short - everything went great and I couldn't be happier. I am so glad I chose Dr Nightingale to perform this procedure. In a crazy busy city like NYC, it's hard to find a doctor who really takes time to make sure the patients feel comfortable and taken care of (as opposed to rushing you out the door after having dedicated just 5 min of their packed schedule). Well, Dr Nightingale is one of those doctors in danger of extinction: He is thoughtful, professional yet personable, kind, attentive, thorough and with a sense of humor. And his staff is equally amazing!
I easily scheduled my appointment using ZocDoc. I included a note for the doctor regarding the issue I was having finding the proper prescription for my gas permeable contact lenses. I called the office in the morning the day of my appointment to confirm this office could fit me for gas permeable contact lenses and glasses during my appointment later that day. I was told yes only to find when I met with the Doctor later that day that they do not prescribe rigid gas permeables. The doctor was helpful in providing a referral but the overall experience was quite negative as I thought I had confirmed that morning that I would be able to start working on a new prescription.
VERY LOW KEYED. MADE ME FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE LISSTENED TO MY COMPLAINT,S, ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS...VERY IMPRESSED.WITH HIS PROFESSIONAL STAFF...I WILL BE. GOING BACK FOR FOLLOW UP....I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ..,GIVE HIM A TRY YOU WONT BE SORRY
I would recommend Dr Andrew Nightingale (Dr Jeffrey's son) as a very good ophthalmologist. Office staff is also very pleasant, professional, and efficient.
It was a wonderful experience. The receptionist was helpful. The waiting time was less than 10 minutes. Staff was friendly. Dr. Nightingale is an excellent Doctor. He would make the patient relax & comfortable.
My visit ended up being with Dr. Andrew Nightingale which was totally fine by me. Great doctor, very straightforward and knowledgeable. Office staff was great too, everyone was lovely I was in and out in about 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent; very professional and considerate.
Pleasant visit, great staff. Dr. was patient and reassuring, staff super friendly and helpful. Best eye poking experience I've ever had.
I have thought about getting LASIK for sometime already, just never really muscle up the courage to do it. One day I just got tired of doing my contact lenses in my red eye flights...I man up and went to Dr. Nightingale. Why Dr. Nightingale? I guess he just made me feel comfortable right off the bat. I have seen many eye doctors. With him, I wasn't just another patient. I saw him once more in his office for a free consultation, a week later I was in surgery. I didn't want to give myself more time to think about this again. Believe it or not, I thought abut it for about 10 years... On the day of the surgery I was so nervous and probable created some trouble for the staffs. (I am sorry =] ) Everyone was so nice and accommodating none the less. Dr. Nightingale was very patient with me. At guess at the end you would like to know my result right? It's been a month and I have 20/20 without any vision correction now. Big thanks to Dr. Nightingale and all his staffs!
I would not recommend going to this doctor for a general consultation. I went into this office for a simple prescription checkup for my contacts because I was having blurred vision and needed an annual checkup. I waited for an hour and a half to be seen. The prescription checkup method was outdated. At one point they had me go into a appointment room with another patient who was lying in a chair, in order to use a machine that was in that room. And the doctor was unprofessional in correcting his assistant on how to spell Acuvue in front of me, telling her that she needs to figure things like that out. And this may seem small, but they were out of soap in their bathroom. I originally chose this doctor for this visit because he had good reviews here and it was right near the BC train. But, I will not be returning.
Dr. Nightingale is an excellent ophthalmologist. He was recommended to me by a colleague and I couldn't be more happy at receiving that advice. Dr. Nightingale performed Lasik eye surgery on me a few months ago and I now have 20/20 vision. If you are considering Lasik, do it with him.
Great team of professionals.
The doctor was more interested in pushing lasik than giving me the service that I came for.
I went to see Dr. Nightingale for the first time for my annual check up. His assistant performed all the tests. Doc examined my eyes as well, although it seemed that most of the work was done by his assistant. He was friendly and personable and I was satisfied, but if you expect the doctor him/herself to perform all the tests, you probably should look elsewhere.
Everyone was nice and very professional. The office was super busy which is a good sign.
This was my first visit with Dr. Nightingale and it was a great experience (and not only because I didn't need a prescription!) Although it was a really busy morning in the office, Dr. Nightingale and his staff were really respectful of my need to return to work, and the wait time once inside for my appointment was practically non-existent. The doctor and his staff were friendly and helpful, explained all tests they were performing ahead of time and made me feel really comfortable.
Dr. Nightingale was thorough and friendly, and welcomed my questions regarding my concerns without judgement. Would definitely recommend him.
He was very professional and very efficient.
Dr. Nightingale was thorough and explained everything to me. He did not rush and I would definitely return.
Fantastic all around. I highly recommend Dr. Nightingale.
Dr. Nightingale was great! He was patient, listened and helped me understand why he was prescribing what he was.
Dr. Nightingale was overall a good doctor. I feel like he knew what he was talking about and my issue cleared up with the eye drops he prescribed. My only complaint is that he was too aggressive with his sales pitch for Lasik eye surgery. I felt uncomfortable at times with how persistent he was with his pitch and him giving me a verbal price with an added discount "because he knows I will tell all my friends about him." If he stepped back from selling, I would be more inclined to visit him again with any future eye health issues.
Very professional and friendly. As a phycisian I do recommend Dr. Nightingale
very pleasant, will definitely be coming back
As always, it was professional and thorough. He's my guy.
Thorough, professional and caring from the professional staff. The paperwork I had filled out on line had not been printed out which seemed to unnerve the receptionist (or something did, at any rate), but all snags were resolved.
Made me comfortable thanks, that's important to me
The doctor and the exam were excellent as always. The only issue i had was that the info i sent through this site was not secured at the office and when i questioned that i was given some attitude by one of the staff. This wasn't the first time i felt this way so maybe that particular person needs to improve their people skills
My appointment was pretty straightforward - check up and check for new prescription, but it was an excellent experience. He was on time, his staff was very professional, and I left happy that I have found a doctor that I will be happy to see again.
I really liked Dr. Nightengale. He was very thorough and the staff was very nice, especially the receptionist.
Excellent visit. Physician, technician and front office staff wonderful.
Wonderful physician and staff, very professional, would highly recommend to colleagues, friends and family.
It was very pleasant and just what you would want in eye doctors visit!
Great doctor. Seen right away. Very nice...
I generally don't support lay people writing reviews on perceived "M.D. performance" (it will overestimate bedside manners and won't describe their all important analytical skills at all). However, since webreviews seem to be so important these days I will say that I liked what he did, how he did it and that he did it rapidly. I felt taken care of professionally.
Very professional and friendly. Fully confident in his experience and clinical skills.
he was very nice and professional. A hard balance to strike sometimes.
The entire appointment was smoothly orchestrated to make the most of the time available - mine as well as Dr.Nightingale's.
The doctor was efficient and confident. He had a good sense of humor and made the visit enjoyable. The office staff was also effective and office was clean and well appointed.
Very friendly doctor and staff. Highly recommended.
He was wonderful!
They don't do contact lenses here, only glasses and LASIK!
Very nice, not too long of a wait. All the staff are very pleasant and Dr. Nightingale was professional and approachable. Only thing to note for prospective patients: he does not fit for contacts (and there is a refracting charge for glasses rx). Overall though, I liked him and will go back.
Excellent doctor! Gave me a quick and comprehensive exam and figured out the solution to my problem right away. Will be attending a follow-up in a week.
I thought Dr. Nightingale was fantastic. He was friendly, professional and informaive. The staff was friendly, the office is gorgeous and I was seen right away. I was very pleased with my visit.
Very good. Great Staff... Great location.
I was very pleased.
Professionally run office, with helpful staff assisting Dr. Nightingale.
Dr. Nightingale really cares about getting the diagnosis right. After looking at my eye issue, he brought in his retina specialist for a consult. I know i'm in good hands with Dr. Nightingale and his team.
As usual, Dr. Nightingale gives each patient great attention and care and I was again extremely happy with my appointment, checkup and his service.
He was really helpful and informative!
Excellent. Friendly, and very helpful.
I now have had 2 appointments with Dr. Nightingale and I am most pleased. I had been seeing another ophthalmologist for 10 years, with the same complaint and symptoms I took to Dr. Nightingale. He diagnosed the problem on the first visit, prescribed medication, and I am seeing great improvement. I have already recommended him to a co-worker.
Provided fast, excellent service
Very professional office. Had an accute eye infection which the urgent medical center I first visited did almost nothing to resolve. Dr. Nightingale was excellent, answered all my questions, and did not rush.
Very thorough doc with a good personality.
Other than the long wait time, Dr. Nightingale was pleasant and took my concerns seriously. Will absolutely go back.
I thought the doctor himself was great, but the receptionist working was rude and impatient. She spoke in a rude and "im too busy for you" manner to everyone that came into the office and also those who called. And when I asked her for help, it was like I asked her for her right arm.
Nice office, nice staff.
Very attentative. The staff was very professional and caring. I recommend Dr. Nightingale.
I was very pleased with my visit to Dr. Nightingale. His office staff were courteous and efficient and the office was well run. The wait time was maybe 15 minutes. Dr. Nightingale was very pleasant and understanding of my problem. He gave me the right treatment, (I felt relief within a half hour). I will be returning to see him in one month and would definitely recommend him to others.
FYI: He does not fill prescriptions for glasses or contacts in that office. He will refer doctors he trusts to fill them, but he does not do it himself. This means multiple trips to different doctors to get a pair of glasses or contacts.
Dr. Nightingale was great. Staff was unfriendly and somewhat inept.
