Dr. Darren Jones, OD is a native of Aurora, CO and alumni from Rangeview High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from Brigham Young University before going on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston. Before moving back to Denver Darren completed an externship in ocular disease and surgical management with the “Eye Center of Texas” in Houston TX.
Dr. Jones is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association. He loves helping people improve their vision. He believes everybody should be able to see the beauty of Colorado to the best of their ability. He is particularly interested in orthokeratology (Cornea reshaping) and ocular disease (glaucoma, dry eye, diabetes).
Dr Jones is a photography enthusiast and when he is not seeing patients you can find him outdoors with his wife and kids enjoying the amazing Colorado scenery. If the weather is bad and the kids are taking a nap he will be reading a book.

I have worn glasses for nearly 30 years and my recent exam at Smoky Hill Eye Care was the most thorough I have recieved yet. Dr. Jones took digital images of eye and reviewed them with me, performed other diagnostic evaluations and updated my prescription. He ever performed additional evaluations during my visit to further assess my astigmatism.

My experience at Smoky Hill Eye Care was the best that I have ever had at an Eye care Facility! the staff was excellent and very knowledgable about the products and leading trends of the industry. Dr Jones was very thorough and easy to talk to. I will be recommending this practice to everyone I know.
