About Dr. Benjamin Sturdy
Benjamin Sturdy, O.D. graduated with distinction from Southern College of Optometry in 2009 after earning his Bachelor's Degree in human biology from the University of Kansas. He then completed his residency in ocular disease under Dr. Paul Ajamian at OMNI Eye Services in Atlanta, GA. He then completed additional requirements and testing to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. He started practicing in Colorado in 2010 at ICON Eye Care as the Director of Education and Quality. In a commitment to advance the optometric profession, Dr. Sturdy created ICON's first accredited residency position in coordination with the Pacific University College of Optometry and served as the Residency Coordinator. In late 2021, Dr. Benjamin Sturdy acquired New Visions and Opticians 2 from Dr. Clausen and Kathy. Dr. Sturdy is committed to providing comprehensive eye care using state-of-the-art technology to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Outside of his passion for vision, Dr. Sturdy enjoys spending time exploring Colorado with his family, including four children!

I just wanted to share the wonderful experience that I had today at Modern Eyes. Dr. Sturdy and Sarina both helped make my visit today exceptional. Sarina was so helpful with getting all of my concerns worked out with my contacts and took the time to make it a smooth transition with switching brands for my contact lenses. Who needs Lens.com or 1-800 contacts!? They are honest with their prices and help you walk out with your contacts the same day. Dr. Sturdy was also very personable, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. I would recommend Modern Eyes to any friends or family. Thanks again for making my visit today such a wonderful experience.
