Dr. Darshana Alle joined the Virginia Center for Allergy and Asthma in 2015 after four years in private practice in Northern Virginia. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Alle is a native of Louisiana, but completed the majority of her medical training in Ohio. She graduated from the University of Akron in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences and obtained her medical degree at the Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2005. She then pursued her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals of Cleveland. After completing residency, she returned to Louisiana to complete her fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at the Tulane University Medical Center in 2011.
Dr. Alle is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology as well as the regional Greater Washington Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society. She has volunteered for Allergy and Asthma Network and is certified with The National Allergy Bureau. Dr. Alle’s philosophy of practice is focused on a patient-centered approach – she truly believes in listening, teaching, and developing a personalized treatment plan for each of her patients. She resides in Fredericksburg with her husband, Dr. Deepak Raghavan. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, watching Netflix, and spending time with her family.

Personable, friendly; and showed interest in my expressed concerns. Doctor respected my view on the many sensitivities that I've experiences with pain meds, and other prescriptions drugs. She preferred not to administer additional allergy tests, which would require multiply injections without specific blood tests. Until such times, she would wait for the results.

Everything about my experience was amazing, from the staff to the nurse and especially Dr. Alle, from the time I walked into the office it felt like I’ve been there patient for years. They truly treat you like family with care, sufficient but speedy testing/treatment, respect, and dignity. I took my son to see Dr. Alle for allergy symptoms. She asked a ton of questions to get a history, ordered some allergy testing, went over the results with me and then went to painstaking efforts to figure out the right type of medicine to try him on given some other health issues.
