Experience, a listening ear, and compassion are more important than gender when choosing and OB/GYN. I have over 30 years experience and have attended over 7000 births (several of those are now 2nd generation). I give my patients the time they need ( and, yes, there is a little extra wait time occasionally). I try to treat people as I would want to be treated (not always what they want, but hopefully what they need).
I was born and raised in the Portland/Vancouver area. The only time away was for residency in Phoenix, Arizona. My wife and I have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. My time away from my practice is centered around them and my main hobby of distance running. My favorites are marathons and Hood to Coast.
