Dr. Shin was awesome. The only level of frustration was not being able to get through to the office when calling. Other than that, office staff is nice and helpful and Dr. Shin himself is excellent.

My experience with Dr. Shin exceeded all my expectations. He was referred to me through another Doctor so I knew I'd likely be in good hands, as most only refer top physicians. I had to have a procedure done that involved surgery and was, as most are, a bit worried. But Dr. Shin took the time to reassure me that the procedure was straightforward, explaining everything in a calm, professional manner. I never felt rushed and he displayed empathy and true care for my concerns. He took the time to call me personally to schedule the surgery dates - and even called me the night before the procedure to answer my questions and alleviate my concerns. The procedure went perfectly and I walked out of the surgical center in disbelief as to how good I felt and how smoothly everything went. I cannot stress how great my experience was in working with Dr. Shin and his staff. It is rare to find a Doctor who truly deserves 5 stars, but Dr Shin deserves 6! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an exceptional Urologist. Thank you Dr. Shin!

The Hackensack Urology office is the most poorly run business - not just doctor’s office - I have ever experienced. I was prescribed a medication that requires insurance approval. The test results were never sent to insurance for approval. After 3 calls from my pharmacist, 2 patient portal messages and countless unreturned calls from me (including leaving messages with an actual human and being promised a call back twice), it is now 3 full weeks after the medication was first prescribed and I have received zero communication from this office. I am leaving this review because I don’t know how else to get the attention of this office - clearly calls and messages don’t work. Unacceptable.
