Ashutosh Tewari is an accomplished and dedicated urologist treating his patients in New York City. Dr. Tewari is certified by the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association – New York, the Society of Urologic Oncology, the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, the Society of Robotic Surgery, and the New York Academy of Medicine. He is currently serving as a professor and chair in the department of urology at the Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Tewari attended the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College in his native India. He also completed his surgical residency at this institution. Dr. Tewari relocated to the Henry Ford Hospital to complete his urology residency. Dr. Tewari completed three urology oncology fellowships at the University of California – San Francisco, the Henry Ford Hospital, and the University of Florida. In addition to these extensive research opportunities, Dr. Tewari completed a transplant fellowship at the University of Liverpool. Dr. Tewari is a prostate cancer specialist, with clinical expertise with laparoscopy, prostate biopsy, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing, prostatectomy, robot-assisted urologic procedures, as well as robotic prostate surgery.
