She completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Illinois Hospital. She is double boarded in both internal medicine and pediatrics.
Dr. Dewald is a part of Innovative Express Care. Dr. Dewald sees patients of all ages, from small children to the elderly. She sees all common primary care problems like fevers, rashes, sore throats, headaches, backaches, sinus problems, and urinary tract infections. But her passion about health goes much deeper; her goal with her patients is to help them obtain optimal health through lifestyle.
One cornerstone of health is good sleep. Dr. Dewald has made tackling sleep problems in both children and adults an important part of her practice. Sleep disordered breathing – a condition in which one’s airway becomes partially or completely obstructed during sleep – is very common but unfortunately goes unrecognized all too often. Snoring, frequent wakening/trips to the bathroom, and mouth breathing at night are simple markers for this problem. Dr. Dewald works closely with specially trained dentists and speech pathologists/myofunctional therapists to help people improve the functioning of their oral airway and get a better night’s sleep.
Dr. Dewald is uncompromising in her dedication to the well-being of her patients, and she is committed to giving them the best care in the Chicagoland area.

Denise is also a pediatrician. I guess she has a double board certificate (Internal Medicine and Pediatrics). She was wonderful with my 6 year old.
