Doctor Diego Ponieman was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he completed Medical School at the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine. He came to the New York area where he completed his Internship and Residency at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center. He later completed an Academic Fellowship in General Internal medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he stayed as a part time faculty. His areas of interest include treatment of chronic diseases, disparities in health, and minorities and access to care.

I don’t recommend this clinic at all. I went it looking for a new GP and also because of a health concern. I was made to feel like a hypochondriac. After insisting to get a blood test, I was notified of my results almost 2 weeks later even though the results were in within a couple days (the date the results were sent to their office was on the lab results). I was abroad on a work trip and after calling, the receptionist told me of my diagnosis very nonchalantly (despite being told it was a waste of time to do the test) and when a doctor finally got on the phone they asked me what I wanted and very aggressively that I would have severe health issues without medication. He never explained what to expect while on the medication, if/when my symptoms would clear or what my results meant.
When I came back for a follow up the doctor asked how he could help me and it turns out they wanted me to come in so they could make a report to the CDC.
The doctor ordered another blood test and didn’t explain what the test would show, or what next steps where.
When I inquired about why they neve asked me what my symptoms were or if I had Ang at all, he defended their lack of professionalism by saying the symptoms are vague so there was no point in asking me if i had symptoms to begin with.
Stay away. These are some of the most unprofessional health care workers I have ever experienced.

The office is really small but I didnt kind that, especially because the experience was good! The lady at the front desk was kind and helpful. I didn't get the chance to run down the list of symptoms with the doctor, but I feel like he understood the problems I was complaining of. He also seems to be very thorough. I really enjoy the fact that he is more about gaining good health through diet and exercise, than just prescribing a bunch of medication. The medical assistants or nurses were super kind, patient and easy to talk to. The only thing I found interesting is that fact that the bathroom doubled as a broom closet. Anyway, I would reccomend Dr. Diego.

Showed up to my appointment---waited for 2 hours before anyone in the office decided to tell me and the many other patients waiting to be seen that the dr would be in late. The nurse was overly social with those she deemed worthy of attention and completely ignored the rest of us. I'm changing my pcp. Beware! Extremely unprofessional office!

I arrived about 15 minutes early and found seating in the waiting area, which was a plus. The medical receptionist was amazing, the registration process was quick and easy. She answered all my questions and ran down how my visit will pan out. She was right. She juggled phones, a walk in, and the patients who were scheduled with class. Next I had my labs drawn and ppd planted by the medical assistant and I'm still waiting to be stuck. That's how good she was, no pain at all. Dr. Ponieman was just as good and thorough. For my first visit, he knew exactly what I needed to do for optimal health. He said the same thing my previous physician hinted on. He's very personable and made me comfortable. So sharing my fears w o th him was easy. One more thing, the previous patient before me, an older gentleman, left the office and started down the street. Dr. Ponieman chased him down with a cup of water in hand, that the patient was drinking in his office and gave it to him. That's caring, that's dedication and i don't know about you but that's the kind of Doctor, I want taking care of me.
