Dr. Dimple Sawhney is a proud Longhorn with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas and her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston.
She completed her externships at Quantico Naval Hospital in Quantico, VA and Mann Eye Institute in Houston, TX, After graduation from optometry school, she moved to Manhattan where she worked in a fast paced prestigious medical and surgical eye care practice, which included LASIK and cataract surgery. There she served as the clinical coordinator and sub-investigator for an FDA clinical trial for cross-linking for keratoconus patients and a sub-investigator for the Visian lens FDA clinical trial.
Dr. Sawhney is excited to be back in Austin with her two adorable dogs and husband and to start a new practice in the beautiful Mueller neighborhood. She is passionate about providing her patients with the most thorough eye care and addressing all of their vision and eye concerns.

All of the staff was very friendly and spent a lot of time and patience helping me find new frames. On the first visit for my eye checkup I felt like they were rushing me through, but on the follow up visit they remembered me and were very welcoming and took time to help me out. It was a great experience. The office staff was very helpful and explained what my insurance covered. The whole office eas very professional. Dr. Sawhney asked me what my habit was with wearing my glasses and explained what she saw and why glasses might be better than contacts, but still left it to me to make the decision. I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Sunny was so nice and her staff was so helpful. My insurance card apparently has the wrong number on it, but they called my insurance while I was in my appt to try to get it sorted out for me. I'll definitely be sticking with this office for future eye needs!

Very pleasant. Front office staff were organized and actually HAD copies of the paperwork I filled out in advance online. Far too often you fill everything out onlne and then they hand you the same exact paperwork to fill out again. I got seen right away and Dr. Sawhney was pleasant and professional. Explained the results of my glaucoma test and quickly zeroed in on my correct prescription. Got my glasses based on the prescriptions she gave me and they're perfect.
