Dushyant Viswanathan, MD is dual board-certified in internal medicine and integrative medicine, specializing in integrative approaches to managing complex health issues.
After completing his residency at the University of Maryland Medical System he practiced at several Baltimore area hospitals including Sinai and Northwest.
He joined the staff at The Columbia Center for Integrative Medicine as Medical Director in the fall of 2012, moving his private practice to the center. Besides seeing patients at CCIM and in inpatient hospital settings, Dr. DV also performs house calls and integrative palliative care consultations.
Dr DV started his study of yoga, meditation, and pranayama at age 15, and intensifed that study with a master during his early 20s. After studying basic sciences at the University of California, Irvine, he became a physical trainer, and was able to combine yoga with applied kinesiology to help his clients achieve their goals.
Nutrition and the importance of good-quality healthy food has always been important to him; Dr DV was raised by his parents who cooked delicious healthy plant-based food, which has kept them healthy through long and fulfilled lives. Furthermore Dr DV studied integrative nutrition, and uses these principles to serve his patients.
