Dustin is a board certified pediatric physician assistant and fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society for Physician Assistants in Pediatrics. As a former resident of rural Virginia, Dustin became familiar with the vast need for improved mental health care. He attended Shenandoah University to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, minor in psychology, and then pursued his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. He has received certifications in anxiety management, ADHD interventions, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Dustin has years of experience in pediatric primary care and has joined Columbia Associates in Psychiatry to provide psychiatric intervention to children, adolescents, and adults suffering from anxiety, depression, ADHD, neuropsychological disorders, and mood disorders. Dustin strives to combine his personal background, medical knowledge, and passion for mental health in order to best serve his patients. In addition to patient care, he has served as a care coordinator, created and implemented a Trauma-Informed Leadership Team in a primary care practice, and is able provide brief behavioral interventions and skill training.
