This is an old school psychiatrist who has probably forgotten more about psychiatry than most psychiatrists ever know. Very wise, very patient. Extremely calm manner and a man who gives the impression of having seen and dealt with nearly everything under the sun. I felt confident in him from the moment we met and was reassured by his demeanor and comportment that he had some deep inner wisdom.

He really made me feel so comfortable which really allowed me to open up and discuss the on going issues I was suffering from. He paid attention to my needs and recommended treatment options which will continue to improve the quality of my life. He really cares about his patients and shows it the second you meet him. I was seen right away, no waiting at all! He spent a good amount of time with me and addressed everything needed. Thanks Dr. Jacobs!

**DR. JACOB'S DOES NOT PRESCRIBE MEDICATION ON THE FIRST VISIT**
Dr. Jacobs sees patients for a variety of emotional, life, and work problems in a friendly, non-judgmental manner. He has over 50 years experience. His work includes consultation, supervision, psychotherapy, and, psychoanalysis, The latter is for persistent or recurring problems of major importance personally and is more intensive. With insight-oriented therapy, the focus is on learning about oneself and relationships.
Dr. Jacobs graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, in Philadelphia. Dr. Jacobs completed his residency training in Neurology at the Neurological Institute and in Psychitry at the Psychiatric Institute, both at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, New York.
Returning to Philadelphia, he completed Psychoanalytic Training at the Philadlphia Association for Psychoanalysis, now the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. Medication may be prescribed as indicated.
