Dr. Nabi took the time to listen to my concerns and explained things in the simplest terms. One thing for me, especially when meeting a new doctor, is to not feel rushed. She even looked at my results from my recent labs done by my primary care at a different practice to help further diagnose me and suggest treatments. She was very knowledgeable and I would go back. The office itself was clean and the staff was nice.

Dr. Nabi earned her medical degree from Cornell University. She then pursued a residency and a fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her additional training in her area of expertise allows her to treat many complex disorders and conditions. Her clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), eosinophilic esophagitis, Barrett's esophagus, and esophageal motility disorders. She uses progressive technology for patients facing difficulty swallowing, heartburn, and reflux, including esophageal dilation with balloon and Savory dilator, BRAVO wireless capsule for pH testing, 24-hour dual-probe pH, and impedance testing to evaluate reflux disease. In addition, Dr. Nabi also performs hemorrhoidal banding in patients with rectal bleeding, video capsule endoscopy to evaluate small bowel lesions in patients with iron deficiency anemia as well as upper endoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy.
Dr. Nabi encourages open communication with her patients which allows her to guide them through their treatment as an active participant in their own well-being. She believes in providing excellent patient care and strives towards quickly bringing patients back to their routine way of life.

I arrived extra early to fill in paperwork, and I was actually seen about 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time! Some of the front desk staff could be a bit friendlier but overall they were okay. The resident was very thorough in asking me questions and listening to my issues. As for Dr. Nabi herself, she was good at explaining my symptoms. I just wish that the end of the appointment wasn't so rushed, as I didn't have any time to ask questions that were concerning my diagnosis/upcoming procedure. They just rushed me out of the room and told me to schedule a procedure, and take the medications as prescribed. I know there are a lot of patients but it would have calmed my nerves/stress if I had just 5 minutes or less to ask questions.

I was very satisfied with my visit, Dr. Nabi was very helpful, thorough, and also efficient. She carefully guided me through the care plan and her level knowledge and experience was clear. Having an online portal is also very convenient.

I was late and they still made room for me. Dr. Nabi's bedside manner was kind and comforting. She explained the procedure(s), what to expect, and next steps.
The only issue is she was accompanied by what I think was a resident and I was never consulted whether I was comfortable with him being present. I was never given a choice whether I wanted him there for the consult or the exam. He did actually did the consultation.
