Ekta Patel, MD, attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine in Massachusetts and went on to complete her residency in family medicine at the University of California, Irvine. She chose a career in family medicine because of her desire to help people and her love of science. She enjoys treating patients with a holistic approach, instead of focusing on one specific aspect of their health, which she finds very special.
Dr. Patel values giving back to the community and helped create a teen mentorship program during her time as a medical resident. She would like her patients to know, that as their doctor, she will provide them with the tools and support to make well-informed health decisions. She believes it is very important that her patients are comfortable working together for a beneficial healthcare relationship.
As a Family Physician, I am so grateful for the strong relationships I have built with my patients. With a strong interpersonal relationship with my patient, I can provide empathy, guidance, and support so a patient can become a well-informed advocate for their own health.
Dr. Patel grew up in Orange County, California, and is excited to take care of the community where she grew up. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, going to the beach, visiting National Parks, and learning new cooking recipes.

I highly recommend Dr Patel. The nursing staff is also very friendly and efficient.
Dr. Patel is very nice, and thorough. She’s has great bed-side manners, she’s easy to talk with and asked a lot of questions regarding my previous health concerns. I did not feel rushed in any way. It’s nice to find a doctor that I look forward to having as my primary care physician.
