Elizabeth Loewy, MD is a Board Certified Allergist and Pediatrician. Dr. Loewy graduated with honors from The Medical School at The State University of New York at Stony Brook. She was a Resident in Pediatrics at Mount Sinai Medical Center, NYC where she was chosen Chief Resident and then stayed on at Mount Sinai to complete a prestigious Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology
Dr. Loewy manages a broad range of allergic issues in both children and adults. She specializes in the management and diagnosis of food, medication and environmental allergies including the interpretation of RAST testing, atopic dermatitis/eczema, hives and asthma and the use of allergy immunotherapy (shots) therapy in people of all ages.
After two years in a group practice Dr. Loewy opened her own office on the Upper West Side in 2007 where she remains today. She is affiliated with The Mount Sinai Medical Center where she holds a voluntary physician appointment and helps train junior physicians.

Absolutely the nicest doctor I’ve seen in NYC! Even though I was over half an hour late (due to a mistake on my calendar), she was still super kind and great about everything, and was able to explain the answers to all my questions so that I understood! Everyone I saw in the office seemed really satisfied with their care.

Dr. Loewy is thorough with her testing and discussion of results. She's very kind and always open to answer the client's every question and concern. I went for an allergy test and she was great at explaining the various allergens and allergies that may develop as an adult, as well as providing a game plan.

Dr Loewy is very thoughtful and responsive. She always takes the time to explain everything to both parents and the kids she’s treating. My daughter has seen multiple doctors and is always happy to be seen by Dr Loewy, even if it means an allergy shot.

I used to go there 2x a week for my allergy shots and believe me, I was looking forward to seeing Dr.Loewy and the staff. Very pleasant and you will feel the genuine concern and care. Having allergies are not easy. But with their help, they will make you feel that there is hope and cure.

If only every doctor experience could be like this. Dr. Loewy first diagnosed and has been following my (now teenage) sons for ten years. In addition to being exceptionally knowledgeable and an obvious expert in her field, she is thorough, compassionate, and extremely patient. She always gives us (my children and me) her undivided attention and encourages us to ask questions without feeling stupid, since we have a tendency to repeat ourselves. In fact, she won't let us leave until she feels confident that we feel 100% safe and confident with our game plan/s. Dr. Loewy clearly goes above and beyond for her patients. Her office is always clean and even her staff treats us with respect and always does their best to work with us, especially during peak allergy season. I can't recommend her highly enough. If you are looking for a smart, well rounded, kind, thorough, up to date, patient, and even witty at times allergist, Dr. Loewy is a top notch choice. I can't recommend her highly enough...
