She is an attentive listener, but comes off as very judgmental. I prefer a doctor who will talk/ask about you and take care of a patient's mental state, as well as the physical issue for which they came in.

I made an appointment with Dr. Wheaton because I need a new PCP. I was pleasantly surprised in many ways. The scheduling/rescheduling process was easy. Staff was responsive to a question I had before the appointment. Wait time was minimal. The exam itself was quick, but thorough. I had great rapport with Dr. Wheaton and definitely plan to stay with her.

I was in search of a PCP located in DC, and I'm glad I found Dr. Wheaton. The office is conveniently located in downtown, which is an important factor for me. For our first meeting, she took her time, was very thorough in her questions and detailed in her medical recommendation.

Dr. Elizabeth Wheaton is great. Unfortunately, I had a really rude awakening with the office clerk who checked me in. They hadn't articulated key insurance information to me about preparing for my visit, and put in jeopardy my ability to see the doctor. In addition to this oversight, the office clerk was extremely rude to me and raised her voice at me in the middle of a room full of at least 4 other patients. Any staff working in medicine should have the same bedside manner as any doctor or nurse, and should provide support to patients to navigate complicated insurance issues. They should also be cognizant of the worries that patients have. I was really shocked and disturbed by this very unprofessional and immature reaction and I will have a hard time recommending this practice because of that.

I liked Dr. Wheaton a lot. However, because it was a zocdoc appointment, it was very rushed and I felt like I didn't have any time to discuss my concerns or ask questions.

Dr Wheaton was very professional and inquisitive, and showed a real curiosity and desire to find the cause of my medial issue. She also thoroughly explained the follow-up exams and treatments and what to expect. Unlike other doctors I've seen in the area, she did not appear rushed or hurried.

This was my first visit, and I really liked Dr. Wheaton. I haven't had a Dr. spend that much time listening to me in years. She asked good questions, really listened, took good notes, actually looked at me vs. a computer screen -- all before doing the exam. She is calm, kind and professional and her staff is lovely and polite.

She was quick, dealt with my (numerous) issues promptly, and even fit me in a little early. The office is quiet, front desk staff were brief but polite. The technician who helped with one of my tests went out of her way to distract/be nice to me due to my nerves about needles. They do use latex gloves, so if you are latex sensitive like I am, make sure you mention your allergy, but it was corrected promptly. I will be going back for another test in August and can definitely recommend them, especially for the convenient downtown location.
